“On approach of the Portsmouth Inn budget hotel it did look a bit off putting by all the wiring and stuff by the door but, as I found out when you go inside everything is nice and clean. there is nobody there to welcome you. “The location is great the bathroom to our room was up some stairs from the bedroom the door opened out towards the stairs covering the handrail so could be a problem for some coming down the stairs from the bathroom. The bedroom was also up flights of stairs The mattress needs to go in the bin now! “A hidden gem in a fantastic location. It doesn't look much from the outside, but this is a great hotel, a 2 minute walk from Gun Wharf and the Historic Dockyard. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend”
