It is very small, which was fun but if you’re planning to stay long you might want something bigger. We would not recommend eating at the Dusty Mule however. It was fun to stay somewhere that was unique! 」

「I loved this place. Very easy to check in and out. The bed was very comfortable. I was worried about misquitos but I had zero bites. Not sure if that was due to time of year (June) or not but no issues there. Take the hike up the hill. The first 100 yards are steep but once you get up the initial bill the slope is very manageable. I got about 2 mile up and the views were amazing」

「If coming from the town of Carey, it’s about 14 miles on a dirt road and limited to no cell service. The gps coordinates stop short so keep going until you see houses on the left. It’s the 3rd house. Nice and quiet, clean and watching the beef cows grazing is quite relaxing.」

「What a beautiful peaceful retreat! Literally in the middle of nowhere, make sure you get good directions it can be tricky, a little clue it's in elbow canyon. The cabin is cozy with amazing views of the mountains. Comfortable furniture and beds, games, internet, really a hidden gem. And if finding a place to eat in town proves challenging, go to Perkins Place they have great food. 」
