This is an older hotel. That being said, they do a pretty good job of keeping it clean and in good condition. They have decreased some of the amenities that used to be available so we were initially surprised. We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to sights is very good.

The room was clean and the AC worked great. This is an older establishment but very comforting. The staff are very nice and helpful. This was our 2nd stay. Plan to reserve for next year.

Very nice historic hotel. The beds were very comfortable and i really liked that they had a liquid soap dispensers instead of bar soap. The only issue I had was with the parking lot next door. I am not tech savvy and payment was confusing.

The cons were very limited parking and the carpet in the room felt kind of damp, possibly from humidity. The room also smelled a little musty. We just opened the balcony door for a while and it was fine. The pros were very affordable price, available public parking next door that was about $25 a day through the hotel, and it was less than a block from the San Antonio Riverwalk.

paid parking was in the garage next door, but the cheapest in the riverwalk area of San Antonio. This is an older historic building (well maintained), so slight gaps in the balcony door is to be expected (but such a nice balcony with a view to take in a snack or just gaze at the view!) Wonderful staff and the coffee was great! You do get a microwave and fridge if you are trying to be thrifty with the wonderful San Antonio food, especially the Thai place next door.
