Location, location, location. The hotel is showing its age with plumbing and electrical all in need of major renovations. The staff are very pleasant, the beds comfortable. I like the proximity to La Villita shops and the River Walk. Cheapest and best parking in downtown hotels.

Overall was a great experience and staff was helpful and great during our visit. Although when calling before arriving wasn't a pleasure experience either due to not understanding the person or may have been the phone which sounded so far and static. We enjoyed our stay in the O'Brian Hotel, even though it was only for one night. It is a lovely, old, historic hotel, with nothing fancy, but just what we wanted. The location close to the river walk was erfect. The street below was busy and loud until quite late- but that was my only complaint.
