This place is great. The location is excellent. Short walk to Sign Hill, a great morning hike with even better views. Downtown restaurants are just on the other side of the block in front of the house. We walked to get breakfast and lunch several times. Super easy access to 101,280, and the Airport. Just down the road from El Camino Real. Supermarkets and shops are a very short drive away. The yard is very inviting. We had local friends over for a morning brunch and enjoyed it in the garden. Lots of seating options with great shade. This place is also very well stocked. We wanted for nothing. There was even a bottle of wine welcoming us for our stay. Thank you.

Surpassed My Expectations
Wonderful experience staying here. The unit was equipped with everything one could possibly need. The hosts even provided a nice bottle of wine and a basket of fruit upon checking in. The location is very walkable to stores, coffee houses and restaurants and I felt safe. The included parking space is a huge asset. I arrived as a tenant and I left as a family member. I shall return.

Great weekend spot when visiting San Fran !!!!
Overall a really great experience and wonderful apt and hosts !!!! We were a little concerned about the location as we were going to see shows at Oracle Park and weren’t sure how far out of the “downtown” we were, but it turned out just right !!! We were able To take an Uber or the Cal Train very easily into downtown SF! The neighborhood is so cute and has lots of dining options within walking distance. A “bodega” , a great sandwich shop, liquor store, cafe for breakfast , options for dinner, really covers it all. If you want more elegant dining in the city it’s not too far at all. The apt is terrific. We had 2 adults for a few days and 3 for one night. We were all able to have our own bed ! One in the bedroom which has the picket doors for privacy, one on the sleeper sofa ( which is a bit short. So we put the sleep mat on top and it worked out perfectly ) the other had the air bed which was conveniently stored in the closet. ) We slept comfortably and then deflated the air bed and had plenty of room to eat at the dining table, make coffee, etc. It’s a very well appointed space with really everything you need. Coffee maker , French press, full size fridge, stover. Really awesome. The outside garden is lovely !!! You have full access to the whole space. Sit at the table, or on the love seat w your feet up, enjoy your coffee or cocktails. It was a really nice bonus to have outdoor space to enjoy. Very clean and the hosts were WONDERFUL !

Excellent accommodations and hosts
My spouse and I enjoyed staying in Kawika’s spacious and very clean one bedroom apartment. It had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen and in-unit laundry machines. Location is very convenient to retail and to freeways. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and we appreciated the detailed check-in instructions and photos. Highly recommend!

Very nice for many reasons
We enjoyed our two weeks here. Very safe, comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful outdoor area in which relax. Owners were great to work with, a friendly relationship not just business. Parking was included, a big deal. We like to explore by car. Would stay here again.

Great location with responsive host
I stayed for 5 days for a work trip and just slept, showered, and made coffee at the apartment. Everything worked as expected. I really appreciated that there was already coffee, filters, and sugar available so I didn't need to run out and buy anything. The hosts were easy to get in touch with. The Apartment was bright and comfortable and quiet. The neighborhood is very walkable with great restaurants and the train station nearby. My only minor suggestion is that it would've been nice to have an empty chest of drawers to unpack my clothes into during my trip.

Alley parking spot was a bit tricky but much appreciated. Carpets, floors, and behind furniture could use a good cleaning. Great amenities in the kitchen, was helpful to be able to prepare meals on site. Excellent communication from owners!

Quick visit to experience San Francisco
The apartment was very comfortable with excellent amenities for any type of visit. On site parking was a great feature. Once we figured out how to access bus or free shuttle to BART we were able to get into the city in about 45 minutes. We were able to visit many highlights of the city. The home owners were very accommodating and since we arrived during “Indian Summer” we also enjoyed the beautiful yard!! Bottled water, snacks and wine were a wonderful treat after a long day of travel detours due to fires. The neighborhood was fun, with lots of ethnic restaurants within walking distance. Perfect place to stay for our trip!

Home away from home
This is our second stay at the property. We enjoyed the experience so much in 2019, that we were thrilled to see availability for 2021. The location in South San Francisco is perfect. We were able to get into the City in about 18 minutes. So, we had the best of both worlds: easy access to the City, and a peaceful, beautifully appointed place to rest. The garden is outstanding, and we enjoyed having meals outside. Coffee and a french press made for a perfect cup of coffee, and the bottle of "welcome" wine was much appreciated. The washer and dryer meant we could pack light, and keep up with our need for fresh clothes! This is our home away from home for our San Francisco stays...Highly recommended.

We had a very nice stay here. The home was easy to find, check-in was simple. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very quiet at night. We walked to the little downtown a block away and it was disappointing to see that mask adherence was about 50%. But that doesn't detract at all from the home itself.

Quiet property in good location.
The apartment met our needs for a 'medical vacation'. Easy access to freeways and UCSF Mission Bay facility. Convenient local eateries. The apartment met all our needs with a comfortable queen size bed, washer/dryer and fully equipped kitchen. The internet was fast and reliable. For us as an elderly couple, the living room sofa/bed was uncomfortable to sit on. Overall, it was a great peaceful place to return to each afternoon.

Hidden gem in South SanFrancisco:)
I cannot say enough good things about this quaint, cozy spot a bit south of SF. My husband, 18 year old son and I stayed here for 4 nights while in town visiting the Bay Area. Our hosts were amazing, the place was spotless and all the small touches were thought of....from coffee, snacks, wine, cozy blankets and extra pillows. You will NOT regret booking this place......the beautiful outside garden with its lovely plants native to Hawaii.....were just perfect. We loved relaxing in the outside area with coffee and the morning and having evening cocktails.....we WILL be back and have already recommended this spot to our friends. Thank you, thank you to our wonderful hosts...Cheers!

A bit of Hawai’i heaven in South San Francisco
When I looked out the windows it reminded me of living in Hawai’i. We totally enjoyed our stay in this hale. It has everything one needs - kitchen, laundry and comfortable bed. Also coffee, spices and pot, pans and utensils needed to cook. Although no need to cook because there are numerous restaurants nearby - Buon Guito and Thai Satay are two restaurants we enjoyed. Kawika responded to our questions quickly - when we were chilly he sent over another heater. It is in a location that makes travel easy to the airport or San Francisco - take BART to The City, then the ferry to Sausalito. We totally enjoyed our stay and want to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the beautiful garden He ho’oponomaika’i is ka boho ma keia hale. (It is a blessing to stay in this house.) Great location if you don’t have a car
Within walking distance are a well stocked produce market, coffee shops and restaurants. There is a free weekday shuttle that can take you across town to the BART, station, Trader Joe’s, and Starbucks. The Caltrain station is a short walk away; you have to Go up and down a staircase and cross the highway, but there is a crosswalk and a traffic light. The city has plans to make this area more pedestrian friendly, but the construction may take some time. The studio itself is very cozy, quiet, and well supplied with everything you need. We did not see our hosts, but that was not a problem, because all the directions are very clear and easy to follow. We would definitely stay here again.

A magical space.
What a magical space with such a beautiful energy. We were over to visit for a week and couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay. The apartment was just lovely, so homely, we enjoyed many nights in with a pick up from the nearby restaurants. We particularly liked the Italian restaurant " Di Napoli". And the garden - what can I say, we just fell in love with it! Many thanks to Kawika, Kiaì and Mo. We will definitely be back.

Good accomodation. Not super but good. Sometimes very noisy due to the location nearby SF International Airport. Area is good and safe but far from the city. We used a rental car and take us 45 minuts to the City. With public transport it will be longer.

Comfortable apartment near SFO
The apartment was an inexpensive and quick UBER ride from SFO. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. As we did not have a rental car we needed to get a bus to the South San Francisco Bart in order to get to San Francisco downtown. The local shops had a good variety of restaurants and was an easy walk from the apartment.

Found this property on the app. Although it was a little far from downtown San Francisco (about a 25 minutes car ride), everything else was up to what we had expected. The Hawaïen garden was very peaceful, the people were so kind, property was clean, etc. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

A taste of Hawaii in South San Fran!
Fantastic property close to SFO. Ideally situated for both trips north into downtown San Francisco, and south toward San Jose or Pacific Coastal Hwy 1. The apartment was clean and fully furnished with everything we needed. Exactly as described. The gardens were like a Hawaiian oasis. The owner/property manager were very attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful getaway
Beautiful cozy place to unwind after a day out sightseeing. There is a lovely garden to welcome you as you head to your unit on the lower floor. Its 7mins to San Francisco International Airport, 35mins to downtown city. Very convenient place to get around if you have a car. There are few restaurants nearby which was convenient on the days we decided not to drive out. Owner is very warm and helpful and answered our queries very quickly. Had a lovely time there. Would stay there again if I have to head to San Francisco.

We really enjoyed having everything we needed from coffee to spices, and whenever we needed anything, we just needed to ask. We only wished we could have sat outside to read and enjoy the gardens; however, the lawn/patio furniture was not ready for this. Otherwise, very good!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The unit is well appointed and cozy. The shower is awesome and the bed is incredibly comfortable. Our daughter stayed one night and she said the sofa bed is terrible. But, they have a blow up bed too. So, if needed we suggest this option. Our only concern is the multitude of raccoons who greeted us a few nights. We have not seen these fellas for awhile. They are kind of scary. The kitchen has everything you need...cooking equipment, utensils, dishes and coffee pot. SSF has good food options...especially dim sum. We would definitely return.

Pretty, quiet, very well equipped, hosts accommodated request for early check in.
I took a class at the San Francisco Baking Institute, and this was very convenient and safe. I will highly recommend this apartment, and your very courteousand responsive service. Very difficult to find, but nice once we got into the unit
We stayed in this unit for 4 days prior to going on a cruise out of San Francisco, and wanted to do some sightseeing. The owner sent us very specific directions, but, nothing is easy to find in South San Francisco, especially in the dark.. After driving around several blocks, we finally found the place, and got in with no problem. Parking was awkward with the car being on a slight slant with the drivers side down (the alley is one-way), and a large pole that I had to be very careful not to hit. This is undoubtedly a lovely place in nice weather, with a pleasant garden, but, in early December, not so much, cold and rainy. As far as the unit itself is concerned, the bed was comfortable, the couch was a little low for my liking, the kitchen and bathroom were adequate. There was a nice washer and dryer, with some detergent packs that we used before leaving, much appreciated. My only issues were, first, with the heating. This unit has only a space heater in the living room, which scares me to leave it on while sleeping. I admit this is my own personal phobia, but it seems like the unit was pretty cold unless sitting right in front of the heater. Again, in nicer weather, this would not be a problem. The other thing was that there were only 2 regular knives, although there were several sharp knives available, but not suitable for spreading butter. Overall, a very nice unit, I recommend it with just a couple of recommendations
