It is UNREAL how this hotel gets away with treating their guests. When I arrived, there were 3 separate families/couples complaining and having trouble at the front desk for various reasons, all service-related. Even though we were all Bonvoy members, some with Elite status.
The most egregious situation I experienced was the day after my check-in, I was in a wedding. We had multiple rooms for guests of the wedding, and the grooms had booked a large suite (Elite members) to get ready in for their entire wedding party. They put everyone's name on the room so that we could get keys at the front desk (the elevators only work if you key up). The day of the wedding, I realized my key didn't work so I went downstairs in my pajamas because I was attempting to get up to their suite to get my hair and makeup done. The front desk man immediately started verbally berating me because I didn't have my ID. I said, sir, I'm literally in my pajamas???? And I'm a guest here with my own room, why would I need to show an ID again? It was very obvious I was in bridal pajamas. He immediately was so aggressive with me. I totally understand hotels have policies and I am happy to abide by them but to start the conversation so aggressively was crazy. San Franciscans truly are a different breed of human.
Also, they don't take Apple Pay in 2025. Bizarre experience, terrible people, would never recommend.
