"The premium price for this hotel is justified by its prime location; situated inside Sequoia National Park, you're just minutes away from major attractions such as the General Sherman Tree, the Giant Forest Museum, and more. The property consists of three separate guest buildings apart from the main Wuksachi Lodge, where dining and amenities are located. It's a short, easy walk from the guest buildings to the main lodge. A few things to be aware of before booking: the Sequoia building has no elevator, and there is no air conditioning. Cooling relies on a ceiling fan and a box fan seemingly used in the window openings. The interiors feel noticeably dated, and the bathrooms carry a faint mildew smell. Overall, the rooms themselves could use a serious freshening up. That said, it was an overall pleasant stay, just don't expect anything beyond the basics when it comes to the accommodations themselves. For food, there's pizza available during lunch hours and a full-service restaurant for dinner. There's also a convenient on-site convenience store stocked with souvenirs and quick snacks. Note that it appears to be cashless only. Takeaway - You're paying for the unbeatable location, not the rooms. If you can set expectations accordingly, Wuksachi Lodge delivers a memorable national park experience. Just know the accommodations are functional rather than impressive."

"Towels were dirty. Bed sheets were dirty. Basically everything was dirty including the walls and headboard of the bed! So many people smoking right at the doors so it does go into the rooms. The only plus was security. Checking in even took a really long time. "

"Room was nice, clean and large with a king bed, L shaped couch, desk, fridge and microwave. Hallways were dirty in need of a good vacuum. Breakfast was ok, decent selection if you get there before 9am. We arrived at 9:02 and kitchen staff had taken most food items back to kitchen. We did get one to unlock the yogurt fridge, but no juice since machine was turned off. Not too much around it to eat at although there was an In-n-Out. "
