The photos to not properly represent this property. It’s old and show various states of disrepair. The young lady staffing the property one morning was unpleasant to the point of being surly. Our room was not made up during our stay. The water was off in the middle of the night for a couple hours with no prior warning. The window in the bathroom opened onto the stairwell. Not a good stay, though the property is well located in Old Town San Juan.

There was no water in the hotel. We were told it would be fixed by afternoon. It was never fixed. We checked out, unable to shower, use toilet, brush teeth. When we contacted Expedia and the hotel manager, we were instructed to go purchase bottled water. $500 per night and no one ever followed up, or reimbursed us for the inconvenience. Terrible service from both hotel and Expedia.

The property is beautiful, but many mistakes were made. On the day of check-in we received the door code for the Opera suite. A while later we received an email apologizing for the mistake and the door code for the Wellness (sanctuary) suite. The problem is that months before we booked the Garden suite on the second floor with windos/balcony overlooking the city/garden for our 20th anniversary. We were disappointed to hear our room was not available and we would ne staying 1 floor below street level. Also, the email mentioned parisian breakfast in the mornings, but there was no breakfast and there was also a welcome card in the room talking about "local treasures prepared for us, but nothing was there. They did refund $100 to us and allowed us a 2 hour late checkout. Both were appreciated, but neither was really enough to offset the disappointment at every turn on our anniversary trip.

Pictures do not give justice to how beautiful this hotel is. Staff are amazing, very friendly. My room was immaculate! Perfect location as you’re steps from the central area of Old San Juan. 10/10 highly recommended

Somewhat confusing instructions on the entry requirements between main property and separate apartment. Also potentially problematic if internet access fails. However responsive to expedia messages, but preference would have been to have information 24 hours before not 8. Also spent a lot of time directing other guests as signage is not clear

The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond from storing our luggage to helping us find restaurants that accepted American Express. The proximity to every thing Old San Juan has to offer was fantastic.

BEAUTIFUL HOME AWAY FROM HOME!! We highly recommend this gorgeous place right in the middle of Old San Juan. Everything is in walking distance. The charm of this place can’t be beaten. From calming music as you enter, a relaxing rooftop, other beautiful sitting areas, delicious coffee in the morning, and also modern shower and bath facilities, you will absolutely not be disappointed. It was immaculate and easy to access.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Lucienne. The building and room were gorgeous. What a unique little place to stay with so many decorative accents and features. The staff was super friendly as well. Unfortunately I can't give them 5 stars as the hot water in our shower was broken our entire stay. The lady at the desk did sent a plumber to look at it but unfortunately he went to the wrong room and then left and wasn't available to come back until after our departure. The AC unit also leaked the entire time creating a puddle on the floor. Despite these annoyances we still really enjoyed our stay and hope they fix these issues for future guests.

Casa Lucienne is a very cool place! It’s right in the middle of Old San Juan and is convenient to all of the restaurants, bars, and shops, not to mention El Morro and other historical sites. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are comfortable. The rooms have a very cool charm, and there are great extras like a small indoor pool and rooftop terrace to hang out on. The location is very busy, so it’s not great for parking, but it’s ideal if you want to be right in the middle of it all! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! Absolutely loved the home and our room. Loved the open shower. I cant say enough, we will definately be back. beauty, historical, romantic, and peaceful. Very clean, every room and corner of the mansion was captivating and gorgeous. Garden and pool/spa area relaxing and refreshing. Easy check in. Friendly and accommodating hostess. Right next to plaza Colon, but very quiet. Very private! Charm and elegance.
