「The host was amazing, she showed us around their beautiful gardens and explained different plants. The cabin is new and very comfortable. The view from the shower was pretty cool」

「Chambre propre mais assez éloigné des activités. Petit déjeuner tres compliqué et communication toujours long」

「Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!」

「We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. Highly recommended and we hope to be back one day. Muchas gracias!」

「This place was perfect!! It's a peaceful beautiful location close to La Fortuna but away from the tourist area. Fran was an amazing host!! We stayed here for our wedding and they treated us to a complementary float breakfast and even carved us a handmade ornament with our wedding day date on it! This place is great!! 100% recommend!」

「This place is a great base camp to explore La Fortuna. We came with our five kids and this house had everything that we needed including a beautiful River outback that my kids really enjoyed. The air conditioners in the bedroom work amazing. The host was great with the communication and accommodated our delayed flights which caused us not to get to the place until about 10 hours after we were originally supposed to. Really grateful for a fantastic day.」

「Joshua was the property manager and he was very responsive. The house has everything necessary for a nice stay. Coffee, filters, oil, spices etc. the pool was lovely. We had a lovely breakfast of chicken tamales made by the owners mother. The elder came over and pointed out the sloth right behind the house. We loved everything about our stay and would stay again.」

「We loved staying at this lovely home just outside of la fortuna! the property was clean and well stocked and the host was so helpful and quick to respond!Highly recommend having your own car if you book this place as there isnt much within walking distance. no complaints from us though, we were aware of this and had no issues.we felt safe and my kids loved seeing the unique wildlife (birds, lizards etc) right on the property.」

「I wanted to think Doug and his wife for being such great hosts. The house was beautiful, very relaxing. We enjoyed the pool barbecuing and all the snacks that they had for us. The beds were very comfortable in the house was very clean. thanks again for making us feel like we were at home.」

「Check in was easy, pretty spot and view. Needed to use the back patio during the heat of the day until the sun went down, because the direct sun in the front area is intense. We were surprised the sliding doors and all windows did not have screens, but it wasn't too bad. Our biggest issue was the refrigerator wasn't funcioning properly, and the toaster and coffee maker were also not working. We communicated these issues with the host and there was no discussion of repair or help to ensure our...

「Ceibo Arenal Home is a wonderful place to experience the beauty of Costa Rica. The gardens are absolutely amazing, teeming with frogs of all kinds, along with beautiful plants and other wildlife. If you enjoy nature, you will love exploring the property.Lidianna is an exceptional host—warm, kind, and incredibly generous. She welcomed our family and even allowed our children to roam the property in the evenings looking for frogs, plants, and wildlife. She had freshly prepared pineapple mango...
