We've stayed at this hotel before and there are things we love and things that lead to a 3 star review. The staff are lovely and the location is great. The hotel itself is a bit dated and the pillows were awful. In addition, the $30 "inclusion fee" doesn't include anything. No breakfast, no pool/hot tub, and the "free bikes" are only for 2 hours unless they happen to be checked out as well. Overall, it feels like a junk fee and we probably won't be coming back.

We had a great stay in the newer section—everything felt fresh, clean, and really well maintained. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully set up, which made it easy to relax. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available when we needed anything. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience—I’d definitely stay here again!

Not reflected in the photos, the wood furniture is cracked and damaged. Second different room I've stayed in with the past 6 weeks. Furniture needs to be replaced. Shower lever is loose.

All staff were very friendly and helpful! Room was big and clean. Bed was comfy with lots of pillows. Nicely located between SLO and Avila Beach. Wonderful walking/biking path that went for many miles ,mostly along the river so was very pretty. If I had one complaint it would be the lack of a microwave in the room but that is minor. Would definitely stay there again.

The room we were in was recently updated and was really nice. It was spacious enough for our family of four and had a great bathroom with a separate area for the toilet that allowed the bathroom to be used by more than one person. The only issue we had was that someone was constantly opening and closing their door late at night and as it was closing it was extremely loud. When we tried to call the front desk for help, no one answered. We called multiples times and even left a message. I think if the doors have a soft close that could help. It would also be nice to know the front desk is available.

It’s a great nestled in hotel that’s conveniently located & reasonably priced. There are amenities, but you have to pay extra for. The hotel needs some upgrades. Staff was nice & friendly. Great food at the Market Place- fresh!

The fireplace was a bit dim and kept turning off and the tub was nice feature; however, it was very hard to get in and out of. Otherwise, great room and comfty bed. I love that they had bikes onsight as an amenity for the local bike path! I’ll definitely come back to stay!

The staff was very friendly we stayed in an older room that had a jacuzzi tub shower combo with a shower door it was a little hard to get into the shower for a 5’5” person. They had coffee in the lobby. Looks like pre Covid they probably did wine reception and or light snacks but now they rely on the deli up the road and you can tell the deli where you are staying and they give you 10% off. Overall the room was good and satisfied our needs.

The room was just as described. The fireplace was perfect and the bed was comfy and cozy. The only drawback was the shower over the jacuzzi type tub. You had to setup 2.5’ to get in.

What an amazing find for my trip! Great hiking trail. Staff is extremely knowledgeable about the area and has great suggestions for things to do! Loved my stay here on two different nights…going north and coming back home.

The room we stayed in was in their new building. Very clean and minimalist. We did not have a hot tub or balcony. Be aware that some of those rooms have balconies overlooking their parking lot. Our view was to the back of the building, a view of the trees. But a balcony would have been nice. The beds were so comfortable. As a matter of fact we were trying to figure out what kind of bed it was. We have a 12 year old sleep number bed at home and these beds were great! It was very quiet there and we had zero issues. The fireplace was nice, but it was situated at the end of the bed and you could not see it from the bed and it was not near the chairs. So, that was a little disappointing. But overall the room and staff were great! Thank you for a relaxing stay!

Quiet property next to a nice walking trail. Friendly staff. Clean room. Stayed for a weekend traveling with family. Nothing but positive things to say. I would not bother searching for other places to stay for future trips to the area.
