Tranquil Sounds of the Surf-Spring Special

Listening to the surf is one of this homes many pleasant attributes. It is beautifully furnished, with bright colors and dark wood, hard wood floors, and virtually everything one could desire to enjoy a get-away in our lovely hamlet of Cambria. Enjoy gorgeous ocean views, wiFi, wood-burning fireplace, Two TV's with DVD players, BBQ, front and back decks, and, your dog is welcome, too!

On the ground level is a one-car garage, a bedroom with queen bed, and a den with queen sofa sleeper, TV and DVD player, and a small fridge, microwave & coffeemaker. Set up as it's own little studio with bath, and ocean view deck, through the sliding glass doors of the den.
Upstairs has two bedrooms and baths, kitchen, deck in front, and enclosed patio in back with BBQ and lounging furniture. From this patio, there is street access, as this property is street-to-street. It gets lovely morning sun, and has shady afternoons. The kitchen is perfect for preparing fine meals on the 5 burner stove, a convection and warming oven, and plenty of prep space. Besides the ammenities.this house will make you feel wonderful, the soulful energy of the ocean, the quality furnishings, and the comfortable, casual atmosphere will leave you wanting to plan your next visit! We had a great stay. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and there are several places to sit outside. Inside the layout of the house allows for flexibility and it's well furnished with anything you'd need in the kitchen and throughout the house. I'll definitely stay here again.

Fabulous property

We traveled here from the midwest and invited California friends to visit. We love Cambria and this house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable, spacious, private, ample parking, spectacular views, perfect location. It had everything we could possibly need--except table salt. It even had a Weber kettle BBQ grill AND charcoal--but it had gotten too wet to light. We really, really enjoyed it.

This house was perfect for our vacation. The downstairs bedroom with separate living room was perfect for our teenagers. Upstairs was great for the adults with the great view. Really appreciated the little extras with spices, plastic wrap/aluminum foil and even scissors in a "catch all" drawer in the kitchen.

A quiet residential area and home

All four of us and dogs enjoyed our stay. The home is in a residential area and does have a sea view from a distance. The backyard is fenced for dogs, which was nice. There were a lot of deer in the area which were fun to see, but sadly, there was a young deer that was struck by a car not far from the home, and had to be put down by a sheriff's officer as he couldn't walk - so do drive carefully in the area.

This house is Perfect for three couples. While it may not be close to the ocean you have beatiful views of the ocean and can always hear the crashing waves. The house was so clean I really couldn't believe it. The only downside was the fireplace was not in working order and we were really looking forward to fires in the early morning and late evenings. Honestly this house was really so comfortable and lovely , we will definately be back, but we are hoping the fireplace will be fixed by then, ; )

Great get away for a long weekend

Furnishings are a little dated but property was very clean. Well stocked. Driveway is a little steep if you drive a RV van but plenty long enough. Community was quiet and you are a close drive to the amazing shops and coffee spots in Cambria. You can hear and have a great view of ocean.

Beautiful house and views!

Loved it- hope we can stay again someday! Left a list of small maintenance things with office but did forget to mention the bath faucet in primary bathroom shower is loose and leaking while using. House was clean, comfortable, wish I could live there permanently. Coffee pot was broken/clogged- took over two hours to brew a pot! We bought another one at a thrift store but it’s pretty slow too- but at least it has a timer! That was the only inconvenience- and the previous visitors hadn’t cleaned the bbq, so we had to clean their mess off of it before we could use it. The rug in main living room definitely has a dog/urine smell, and there was some lingering pet hair from previous visitors but wasn't bothersome I would absolutely stay here again- the views, awesome patios, the sounds of the ocean and the deer everywhere… just an amazing time. Thank you!

Great location and loved hearing the waves

The house is in a great location with views of the ocean and sounds of the waves. Scenic Coast Properties manages this location and on their contract it states that any issues with the house must be reported IMMEDIATELY. So I called and emailed them to let them know the sound on the tv in the LR kept going out, the dishwasher was not attached so it was moving around and the soap dispenser didn't always open and there was water sitting after a cycle. The washing machine would stop in the middle of a cycle full of water which ended up being an electrical problem that had to be rewired and was a fire hazard, the plumbing in the MB shower wasn't working and it would make a very loud noise that could be heard outside and then no water pressure and the spout was loose. The coffee maker took about an hour to brew a half of cup, the microwave also sounds like it is going out but is still working, the radio didn't work and the lights by the back gate don't work. And also the bath towels left for us to use were so warn and stained we went and bought new ones. When I reported this to Scenic Coast Properties (Valerie) she wrote WOW we have not heard this from previous guests and that some guests had returned which made me feel like she didn't believe me. She did send a maintenance man who rewired the electrical outlet to the washing machine and did say it was a fire hazard, he turned down the hot water heater which was dangerously hot, brought a new coffee maker, and attached the dishwasher so it would stop sliding around. He could not fix our MB shower he said that was a major job that required a plumber. We were there for 6 days and like I said before the house is a nice house in a great location but I don't feel that it is being maintained. I even stated to her that I thought maybe it hadn't been rented in awhile because most of these things would have had to been reported. But after our treatment by Scenic Coast Properties I would never rent through them again and we come often. And if there are other owners besides Scenic Coast Properties you should know they are not maintaining this property.

Wonderful house and views!

What a great spot! Clean and very welcoming. Downstairs area is great for another family if you're traveling together. Kitchen upstairs was well equipped and the bedrooms were all very comfortable. Views from the main bedroom were spectacular, but it was a little cold in that room at night. Overall good and check-in/out was easy enough.
