“It is dirty with insects and mosquitoes and not value for the money. It is only one star resort. I don’t recommend it.”

“We had a lovely couple of nights as a family”

“Property was almost vacant, only 4 rooms were occupied.Looks like it is possibly changing hands as most of the property was locked up.Breakfast consisted of mouldy bread small amount of fruit and stale muffins.I don’t do reviews of properties but feel the need to this time. Toilet wouldn’t flush , shower was good first night but night 2 water went spurting out over the top of the shower and into the bathroom, no flannels , no hair dryer as stated .On the upside the air conditioning worked . Was……

“This is an easy recommendation - very professionally run with great staff. Excellent beds and rooms - currently renos have just about finished so all rooms are new. Central to Luganville. A really easy place to have a base for all the sightseeing and adventuring that Santo offers.”

“Amazing”

“Highly affordable place and employees try to maintain general cleanliness alright. A fellow guest in another room was unlucky enough to get bed bugs. She was allergic to the bites and had to go to the clinic. Mosquitos were causing a few bites every day, and I figured they probably got into my room during the room service hours when staff opened doors to dry the mobbed floor. Being in a tropical climate, maybe the management should consider regular pest control measures.”

“Rooms are excellent, host was great. Was a bit of a windy spot. Had a restaurant but not open for 1 room out of 4 occupied. I would come back.”

“A truely beautiful place to stay in every way. The feeling of calm and relaxation draws you in upon arrival. The staff were incredibly friendly, the restaurant onsite is fabulous and the owners Ash and Stacey have built something magical, we’ll be back!”

“We loved our stay at the Lapita Guest House. It is a beautiful location. Great beach in front, palm plantation behind. Decent snorkelling nearby with schools of fish in the shallows. The guest house is very private, but really comfortable. Matt and his team were great to deal with. The bean bags and loungers on the sunset deck were super comfortable and a great place to relax. The SmartTV was a point of difference. Was really nice to watch a couple movies in the evening. The stove was a little……

“Not as pictured on the web. Aircon did not work. Shower broken, hardly any water pressure when it did work, no hot water. Internet constantly stopped working, and not a safe connection. TV was for decoration only, did not work and no remote. Dirty restaurant with very limited operating hours and poor food quality. No-one at reception.”

“We were a little disappointed with our stay. We arrived with a dead mouse in the shower, and I would say the house inside looked a little tired compared to the glossy pics on other sites. The beach in front is very rocky, so going for a swim or walk is not a great option.Getting here and back to Luganville also costs approx. 80 AUD so that is something to consider. The bbq area is only usable when there is no wind. There is no toaster either, nor oven, but admittedly it isn't really clear in the……

“We stayed for 5 nights, which I think was about perfect - enough time to relax but not so long that we were bored on such a small island. The reef was beautiful and had lots of different corals, along with loads of fish. We don't dive so we snorkelled each day. We took our own masks but used Bokissa's flippers, which were excellent. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Whilst there was a child there (12 year old) while we were there, it seemed much more suited to couples.”
