“We paid a budget price so were not expecting luxury, however there were lots of very basic issues with the house. The place was very musty on arrival and it seemed as if it hadn’t been opened up for a long time. The smell also pervaded the kitchen cupboards so I had to wash every item of crockery and cutlery before we could use it. Not that there was a lot of crockery - only side plates and tapas dishes. Only half of the toaster worked, there were many light fittings without bulbs, we had 4……

“Stunning newly built log cabin in woods. It feels really remote but it is actually an easy journey by train and taxi from central Barlcelona, so perfect place to combine a visit with some time in Barcelona and some time here away from it all. Remember to pack a jumper as it's a few degrees cooler than by the sea! We will definitely be back.”
