Apodaca - Spacious and Inviting

SUMMARY
The historic east side's Casa Apodaca is the perfect base for your family reunion, girlfriend's party or any group of old friends getting together. This home is situated just blocks away from the famed arts and craft district of Canyon Road.

LIVING AREA
Casa Apodaca features a spacious great room comfortable for all to gather with its 65" flat screen TV and comfortable air conditioning. The home boasts 2,800 square feet of living space. There is a private master bedroom with a Kiva fireplace, ceiling fan, and double doors to an enclosed courtyard on one wing of the house and two king size bedrooms on the other wing. There is Saltillo tile throughout the home.

KITCHEN AND DINING
There is a spacious sunroom which serves as a breakfast room. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

BED AND BATH
One king can become two twins and two sleeper sofas in the living room for extra guests. Two of the bedrooms and the great room open up to a lovely courtyard which is a traditional Spanish design of this region. The doors and windows allow ample natural light throughout the home. The two bathrooms are both in the hall. One has a large tiled walk-in shower and an old fashion large soaking tub. The second bath has a tiled shower with a tub.

OUTDOOR SPACE
The backyard is perfect for a family barbeque. The owners have lovingly furnished the home with a combination of a contemporary flair and Santa Fe style.

.7 mile or a 15-20 min walk to The Tea House, Geronimo, El Farol and the Galleries on Canyon Road
1.7 miles to the Plaza
1.8 miles to the Railyard

PLEASE NOTE
- This home is dog-friendly (for stays shorter than 14 nights) with an additional $150 fee, however dogs are not allowed on the furniture. Any pet hair found on the furniture may result in additional cleaning fees.
- The fireplace is available from October 15th - April 15th

We were two families of four, each with our own small dog. It was spacious, comfortable, and had several great spaces for the kids and pets to play. The only small criticism is they need is to stock the kitchen with more and higher quality pots and pans and improvements to a few kitchen items, like a better coffee maker. These are minor complaints and easy to remedy. We would definitely go back to this location.

Very clean and comfortable property in a great location. We spent every morning on the front porch watching hummingbirds and the lovely August weather. The rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable with extra towels provided - rare for a VRBO. Our only complaint was the kitchen. There are minimal tools for cooking and the knives were dull (we tend to cook at least 2 of 3 meals per day in a VRBO when we stay). Plan to do a good grocery shopping prior to arriving - there won't be items remaining from past guests like aluminum foil, baggies, extra spices, etc. like typical VRBOs. There were plenty of dishwasher tabs, laundry tabs, paper towels, and toilet paper. The property is clearly run by a management company so they respond during specific hours (but are available seven days a week),

My family (7 adults total) stayed here during Super Bowl weekend, and loved the space, the quietness of the area, and the comfort feeling in the home. The ONLY negative comment I have is communication with the property manager. I texted more than a few times, and also sent emails through VRBO about questions I had about check-in/check-out and also a concern about an appliance - but never received a response.

This was our second stay at a two casitas property and it was perfect. The home was lovely and VERY SPACIOUS! the separation of the bedrooms offfers a lot of privacy and the sunroom off the back was the perfect work from home spot. Welcome bottle of wine and chips was great! And the check out process (lock the door and go!) is so easy. Wish all rentals were like this. There are a lot of steps! 3 sets of 3-5 steps Up and down to kitchen and bedrooms, so was a bit tricky having toddlers and could be a challenge for someone with mobility issues. We come to Santa Fe a lot to visit family and from now on will always stay at two casitas homes. Its a hotel like experience in a rental which is so lovely!

This is a beautiful property convenient to downtown and in a quiet location surrounding by the natural beauty of Santa Fe. The property manager was very accommodating of a last minute change and made sure our stay was comfortable and all that we expected. Will definitely book again.

The property was everything advertised, except for the weather. It rain one day and the roof leaked. But only when it was raining. Nicely appointed. Clean. Large common space nicely accommodated all 6 of us including a 15-month old that enjoyed the open space.

We enjoyed our three nights at this property. It was nicely appointed and very spacious for our party of four women. Unfortunately the weather was too chilly to enjoy the outdoor spaces. It is not walking distance to anything, so you would definitely require a car. We highly recommend this home for an enjoyable Santa Fe getaway.

All three bedrooms were large with all having king size beds. The two bathrooms were roomy. The living area is huge with a large dining table and 2 large seating areas. We celebrated our family Christmas at 409 Apodaca Hill and it was the perfect house for us! We had three couples, two singles and two toddlers; the accommodations were just what we needed and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. We ate all of our breakfasts and suppers family-style; the kitchen had everything we needed to feed 10 people for five days. After driving all day arriving to a welcome basket of wine, local salsa and chips and such a beautiful “home” for our stay was amazing! The location was perfect for access to Ski Santa Fe, the Canyon Road shops and galleries, The Railyard and historic Plaza - we did them all! Also took the toddlers on several “strolls” to the park on the river. Our “must-do” recommendations: Ski Santa Fe, Kakawa Chocolate House, Meow Wolf, Puye Cliff Dwellings, Iconik Coffee Downtown, Second Street Brewing, family meals and karaoke night at 409 Apodaca Hill.

The house was perfect for our family of six. We were familiar with the area since we lived in the area for almost 17 years in the past and knew it would be convenient for the things we would be doing. Our only suggestions are that the windows should be washed when spring comes!
