「This is a great place, but there’s a couple of things you need to know before renting.First, if you can’t tell from the pictures, only the bedroom and bathroom are enclosed, the kitchen is completely open – no screens. That means bugs – it's Costa Rica after all. No mosquitoes, but beetles, flies, little flying things, and the occasional millipede. You can reduce the insects by not turning on the outside lights at night (finish eating before dark) and cleaning up dishes etc. immediately after...

「Spotless, gorgeous property on the side of the mountain. Beautiful grounds and the hosts were great. Anja made me feel at home right away. Absolutely beautiful sunrise spot. The only negative thing was the road noise, but that had nothing to do with the property.」

「Once we arrived at this property we were very excited to stay here. The house itself is quite unique and had a fantastic view of the jungle below. The porch overlooking the jungle was a great place to relax and watch nature. We saw toucans, humming birds, butterflies, and fireflies in the tree tops at night. There were also some giant dragonflies, and we saw an agouti, twice feeding on the jungle floor below. It is about 10 minutes from Dominical. It is also close to Parque Nacional Marino...

「Our family of five had a great time here! The house was excellent, and the cows were amazing. Everyone has plenty of space to spread out and do their own things, or gather in the main room together. 「This hotel has a great beach location, with walking distance to most necessities. The breakfast had good options and always fresh. I cannot thank the concierge, Jason enough. He helped us out in so many ways. Including recovering lost baggage to booking excursions and transportation whenever we needed it. 」

「The location was excellent and the room was very adequate. Exactly as described. We had a wonderful full breakfast provided to us each morning with coffee and juice, fresh fruit, and a full hot menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back the beach here was very nice for walking and watching the sunset but if you want a beautiful swimming beach, not far away is Playa Linda .」

「Staff were always there for help, if needed. Very friendly. Bathroom sink fixture was in desperate need of fixing. Room needs a safe and mini fridge, but otherwise very good. Breakfast was very good, and staff always had a pot of coffee ready for guests. Pool was perfect on a hot Costa Rica day. Would go back! Pura Vida!」

「The hotel notes a caveat about the beach at high tide. The beach is littered with wood debris from the adjacent river such that the beach at high tide limited. And what there is of the beach is gravely.」

「This was our first time to Costa Rica. The Hona Beach Hotel was ideal for us. Great location, AC, cleaning service as needed, and breakfast each morning. the property manager, Yeison, was top notch. Friendly, relaxed and upbeat, and always professional. Always attended to our needs and followed through on everything. We highly recommend the hotel.」
