The Space:
The home is perched on a hillside with 270 degree views and floor to ceiling windows in the common areas decorated in a modern, minimalist style. Multiple outdoor decks including a hot tub make enjoying time outdoors comfortable.
Sleeping Arrangements:
With the inclusion of sleeper sofas, the home can sleep up to 14 guests. There are 4 bedrooms, and additional sleeping options are spread throughout the house, including:
1 double sleeper sofa off the kitchen
1 double sleeper sofa in the separate suite
1 single sleeper in the second bedroom
1 single sleeper in the atrium off the primary bedroom
Please note: while the double sleeper sofas are perfect for kids or smaller guests to share, they may feel a bit snug for two full-grown adults. We’ve thoughtfully set the home’s pricing to reflect this, so you can enjoy the space with flexibility for groups of all sizes.
Air mattresses can also be provided upon request—just let us know ahead of time!
Guest Access:
Mountcrest Ranch includes a seasonal pond with dock, acres of meadowland, heritage oak trees, three natural springs, access to Taylor Mountain Regional Park affording miles of hiking, and unobstructed views of the surrounding valley and Mt. Saint Helena to the north. Two historic barns are home to a family of barn owls. Deer and turkey roam the property along with other wildlife.
The Neighborhood:
Mountcrest Ranch is located just outside the city limits of Santa Rosa which makes it both convenient and serene. You are 2 minutes from Bennett Valley Golf Course, 5 minutes from Whole Foods, 15 minutes from Graton Casino, 20 minutes from the town of Sonoma, 30 minutes from Calistoga, and only 1 hour drive from San Francisco. But you will feel miles away from everything.
Getting Around:
While there is no public transportation serving the property, guests will enjoy easy access to Hwy 101 to San Francisco and Bennett Valley Road connecting you to the rest of Sonoma.
Other Things to Note:
Extensive outdoor lighting makes the property come alive at night highlighting the barns and oak trees surrounding the house as well as the pathway leading to a dock overlooking the pond.
There is a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom as well as a separate studio with ensuite bathroom in addition to the 2 bedrooms sharing one bath.
The house is also equipped with central heating and air conditioning. However, please note that we limit the temperature settings using a Nest thermostat between 69-75 degrees.
