Our stay at Windy Hill Lodge was marvelous! The home is quite stunning inside and out. We spent a lot of time outside by the fireplace enjoying the views and the nice cool weather. We are a family of 8 (6 adults and 2 infants), the home is great for adult and kid fun! The kids room was perfect for our little ones and the adults enjoyed the game room, gym and movie theater. I would highly recommend this home! The host Susan is very attentive and answered any questions we had right away.

Windy Hill Lodge is an absolute paradise in the mountains! The cabin, and all of its amenities, were absolutely top-notch and the process of checking in couldn't have been easier! I don't know if there's better views anywhere in North Carolina! We enjoyed Windy Hill Lodge so much that we never even went into town… Just stayed and enjoyed the views and the great breeze!We cannot wait to return next year!

The Windy Hill Lodge was even better than the pictures and Susan & Iric were so kind and helpful!We love the NC mountains and the Cashiers / Sapphire / Toxaway area seem to have an endless amount of great trails and beautiful waterfalls. Would recommend this property to everyone.

Mind-blowing amenities, location, and comfort

The pictures truly don’t do the property justice. The views are incredible, the house is enormous, there are tons of things to do inside and outside the property. We had three families including 8 kids between 7-14 and there was something for everyone. The game and movie rooms are awesome. Everyone can be together in the huge great room and dining room and kitchen. There is the main kitchen plus mini-kitchens in the upstairs mother in law suite and downstairs basement area. The deck is phenomenal. I could sit out there all day with the views and cozy fireplace. And it’s perfect for kids too—the pirate bedroom was eye popping, plus all the game areas kept them busy. The kitchen is beyond fully stocked. This is not a house you need to worry about whether there will be enough utensils or pots and pans. The rooms also felt very private despite all the people there. It was cold so we didn’t do as much hiking as we planned but there are tons of waterfalls and hikes of varying degrees of difficulty in the area. Downtown Cashiers took us about 25 mins to get to (it’s close but mountain roads can be slow) and it is a cute spot to shop and dine.
