"Quaysiders resort is an apartment/hotel right by the upper side of Lake Windermere in Ambleside. It is in an absolutely perfect location close to the lake, shops, restaurants. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen that had all kitchen amenities. Our Apartment was very clean and spacious . There is an indoor pool that was warm and it can also be like a Jacuzzi. "We stayed in one of the family rooms, capable of sleeping six (One King, Four Singles) which was fantastic to find as a family of five. The room itself was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice range of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water and biscuits in the room, plenty of towels etc. We used the pool and spa which were well maintained and wasn't too busy at the time we were there. We had a look at the restaurant menu for dinner which was fine for adults, but wasn't much in the way of children's options, there was Pizza available but that was the only thing our fussy kids would have had."
