To tall for the shower I am only 6ft.room was on the small side.miss leading on meals as they was no where at the hotel for meals as the pictures on the advertisement showed .you have to go off site for breakfast.Does not mention this on the advertisement.as I’m disabled it was very difficult to open the door into the room as it was catching on the floor.there was no wardrobe to hang any clothes.

Good location for getting out and about. I think parking in the area could be an issue but transport links are very good. Bit of a hike to the upper rooms but we knew this before we requested an upper floor. Room very big and nicely decorated although some work needs doing to the ceiling. Tea/coffee well provided. Exceptionally clean. Internet very week at times and ITV an issue even after you've signed in as signal too weak. Didn't need to interact with any staff. Getting keys etc very slick if staff not available - no issues. Can be a bit noisy in room 8 depending on who is staying above. Overall, a good stay and would use again if in the area.

Staff absent at check in. Breakfast served off-site - no mention of this on the web. No bar which was pictured. Unneccessarily complicated street parking arrangements. Felt completely mis-sold and ended up staying elsewhere instead, despite paying for 2 nights and leaving after 10 minutes.

The Maynard is a very atmospheric hotel. Our room was spacious clean and comfortable, a perfect refuge at the end of the day. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was good. On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly woman.

Lovely Hotel

Lovely hotel in Victorian townhouse perched on the South Cliff at Scarborough. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were particularly good. Thank you for the nice big scale map.

Stayed here for one night just me and my little girl. Lovely welcome upon arrival by the owner. Brilliant room, has everything we needed. Comfy bed and fresh towels. Fast WiFi and nice hot showier. Lovely and quiet throughout the day and night. No complaints. Would definitely return.
