This place was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful while juggling the hotel and multiple restaurants in the lobby. It was a great adorable road trip stopover.

Netter Check-In, Jedoch alte Zimmer. Betten und Bad waren soweit recht sauber, der Rest jedoch nicht wirklich. Keine Klimaanlage, laut auf den Fluren. Bei einem Bett waren mehrere Federn kaputt. Die Pizza vom Pizza Hut war lecker. Alles in allem würde ich hier nur im Notfall nochmal übernachten.

It's an odd place, given that the front desk is also a pizza hut. Employee, who didn't identify them self or had any indication they worked for the motel, was asking me what room I was in.

The TV worked but could not watch any channels as each one showed a message from Shaw that a subscription was needed and call them. We showed this to a motel staff person who said they would call Shaw. This was before 5:00 pm. Unfortunately no one returned and we ended up having no TV to watch all evening. Disappointing.

The place smelled terribly of black paint. Widows didn’t open. No airing circulation. No expert blankets for cool nights. Had a fan that didn’t work properly. TV very limited stations. No coffee. Outlets needed to be upgraded. The location was off the main in the room highway which was goof. Will not recommend and will definitely not book again unless they do major improvements.

This motel offered great value for the night. The room was large, clean, and had everything we needed, including fresh sheets, a refrigerator, and a microwave. It was especially nice to have Robin’s Donuts in the building for fresh coffee in the morning. In the evening, we enjoyed excellent pizza from Pizza Hut, which was also conveniently located in the same building. We were able to get an early start the next morning on our drive to Sault Ste. Marie. I also appreciated that this motel is open and available during the winter months. There is a nostalgic charm to places like this that makes travel feel simpler and more comfortable.

Staff was accommodating, yet they don’t have a great property to work with. Statement over the entry to the office states business established in 1961. It’s apparent that the decore and appointments haven't been changed since then, only minimal maintenance. Original baseboard electric however, is much more quiet than usual through the wall heat pumps (one of the only plusses here. Access to 2nd floor room was through an uncovered exterior door (in the rain) and up stairs. Website suggested only one room available at time of booking then updated to sold out. Upon arriving 9pm, was only one other vehicle in the parking lot, with many, many rooms available. If we weren’t tired, needing to rest and prepaid, we would’ve likely got back in the vehicle and left.
