“The cabin was clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a quiet place in the woods away from everything else in a corner of Mt Desert Island, this is for you. There is nothing nearby - no restaurants or shops -- but the deck on the top floor looking out to the woods is relaxing and the great room very much so as well. But if what you want is the bustle and vibrancy of Bar Harbor, or even the quieter stroll through Southwest Harbor, this place is far from that.”

“Excellent house, very spacious and clean. A few constructive criticism comments would make the stay perfect! we didn’t get checkin instructions so had to sit in driveway for 30 min calling and texting the homeowners to get code. The basement had a very strong chemical smell (recently cleaned carpets?) so we didn’t use the Bsmt bedrooms. No garbage bags or toilet paper but they dropped some off after requesting. Beds comfortable. Coffee maker broken. The main bathroom window needs a shade or……

“The location of this home is very misleading. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case. We were given 5 bath towels for 4 people for 4days, 1 dish cloth, 1 hand towel and 1 dirty sponge with no washer or dryer and no dishwasher. Extra towels were dropped……
