This rental was falsely advertised as a luxury property — it was dirty, poorly maintained, and misrepresented.The photos were clearly edited or AI-generated, and many listed amenities simply didn’t exist. We felt scammed and extremely frustrated.Major Issues:•Cockroach infestation — we killed at least 10 within 24 hours.•Broken bathtub — unsafe for toddlers.•Bedroom door (bunk room) broken — hard to close.•Hallway bathroom door doesn’t lock — unacceptable for shared use.•Unusable cookware — burned and scratched (see photos).•Trash cans had no liners — unhygienic and hard to manage waste.•Missing amenities: no shampoo, no crib, no kids’ games, no hair dryer.•Promised garage parking was inaccurate — tight fit, overhangs sidewalk.•No rooftop grill or dining setup as pictured — only four tanning chairs.•House clearly staged for sale — cold, impersonal, and not guest-ready.Calling this property “luxury” is laughable — it was dirty, broken, and misleading.The host’s behavior was equally unacceptable. He falsely accused us of checking in early, despite his prior permission to stop by for beach badges. He then entered unannounced, confronted us aggressively in front of our kids, and inspected the house without cause. It was rude, unprofessional, and inappropriate.Though he initially offered a partial refund, he later rescinded it.Avoid this rental at all costs.
