「I was extremely disappointed at check-in. The only request I had made was a ground floor room which was provided. However, I had expected breakfast and was told it was a self-catering accommodation. I asked about breakfast and was led to believe that was doubtful and being able to invite a guest not allowed! 「Water damage on the ceiling, causing it to look rundown, paint was peeling. Air conditioning was not working. They did offer us a fan after we tried to use the AC, which tripped the power. After that, they let us know per message that we shouldn’t use the AC. 」

「We were greeted very frostily by the owner and rushed up to our room because she wanted to go for a walk. She asked us why we hadn't replied to her urgent SMS sent 20 minutes ago. We said we were driving and hadn't seen it yet. We didn't see any more of her until se were just driving off. A white lady served us a mediocre breakfast. We had the feeling that we were a nuisance. Not the way guests should be treated.」

「A super (and well-priced) option on Leisure Isle, with comfy beds, a small kitchenette, a refreshing small pool and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent, and cooked fresh to order, and the rooms were made up punctually every day. As with many places in SA, wifi was spotty and not super-fast, but this is no fault of the guesthouse as Leisure Isle is not on the information super-highway! Overall, an excellent choice and certainly excellent value for money in an expensive town. 」
