But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! Large, beautifully decorated suite with spectacular views located within walking distance from town. A microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, mugs, glasses, creamers for coffee and a corkscrew are available, but no plates or utensil. We had totake out the trash even though there was made service. We enjoyed using the fire pit one cool evening.Check-in time was an hour later than most VRBO rentals and check-out time was an hour earlier. We received numerous emails advising us that earlier or later check-in and check-out were available for &100 per hour, which we found annoying.
