Quiet relaxing stay
We enjoyed our stay. The location was central for us to use as a hub to take day trips out and back from. It was just the right size for two. The guesthouse was clean and bright and we were greeted by chickens and a rooster upon arrival.

Sehr gemütlich und sauber
Wir hatten hier eine sehr schöne Zeit. Das kleine Haus hat alles, was man braucht und ist sehr platzsparend und gleichzeitig gemütlich eingerichtet, sodass wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Wir waren zu zweit und hatten genug Platz. Die Gastgeberin war auch super nett und hat ziemlich schnell auf Fragen geantwortet. Besonders toll fand ich, dass die Heizung schon an war, als wir abends im Kalten ankamen, und das Haus somit schön warm war für unseren Empfang. Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!!

Best place to stay in southern Iceland
This place was clean, cozy and had everything I needed including wifi and a small kitchen. Everything that I wanted to visit was within a one hour distance in every direction. The price is fair. The place is quiet and beautiful surrounded by horses and nature. The views are breathtaking and at night if you are lucky you'll see every star in the sky and the northern lights like I did. Thanks Petra.

A Honeymoon Getaway
My Wife and I had a fabulous time at this location, petra was amazing in giving us a lovely expereince. Would highly recommend this location as its just out of town so its a peaceful getaway. Would return here again.

Phenomenal stay- we saw the aurora from the porch!
As stated, we managed to get a glimpse of the aurora from the porch, which was so nice at the end of our week long stay. When we first arrived, we had a minor issue with the WiFi and shower drain- Petra was responsive and fixed these issues immediately and even checked in with us later in the week. The cabin was a lovely place to come home to after long cold days in Iceland, and we would love to stay here again!

Nettes Tinyhouse mitten in der Natur
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Alles ist wie beschrieben. Ruhig, 10 Minuten nach Selfoss und ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um den Süden Islands zu erkunden. Checkin und Checkout ist problemlos und Petra ist eine nette, hilfsbereite Person. Das Tinyhouse ist kein Luxusappartment, das weiß man aber. Wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt und würden es wieder buchen.

Beautiful property located just east of Selfoss with easy access to the southern region. 10 minutes outside of Selfoss where there are grocery stores, restaurants etc. Secluded with a beautiful river running through front of the property. You might even get to say hi to some chickens!

Great house to stay.
We had one issue. The adres wasn’t on Google maps. And Apple Maps give me a wrong adres. But lucky we had some direction from the owner. So we can locate the adres. But after we found the house it was very comfortable and was a great stay. The shower wasn’t capable of standing on his own. But personally not a issue. Aufenthalt am Golden Circle
Wir haben uns im Objekt sehr wohl gefühlt. Es wae alles vorhanden was wir brauchten. Die Lage war für uns optimal und wir konnten in den 4 Tagen alles um den Gold Circle gut erreichen. Cottage liegt in der Natur ist aber trotzdem gut erreichbar. Die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Für uns war das Cottage genau das richtige.

Super kleine Unterkunft im Grünen. Nette Hühner und ein super verschmuster Hund hatten mich am ersten Morgen begrüßt. Gastgeberin war super nett. Nachts hatte ich glaub das ganze Grundstück für mich. Es war alles da was man so brauchte und für den Notfall hatte man zwei Telefonnummern. Sicher kein 5Sterne Hotel aber für meinen Roadtrip genau das richtige und das zu einem wirklich guten Preis.

Perfect location in nature but close to town
Petra is a fantastic host and even lent us an appliance! She offers great recommendations to travel as well. The place itself was exactly as expected and had everything needed for a week stay for 2 people. The location gave us the feeling of being secluded in nature while still being close to town, charging/gas, and most importantly, easy access to the golden circle, black sand beach, waterfalls, hot springs and many other beautiful things Iceland has to offer with only a short drive! Tolle Unterkunft mit traumhafter Aussicht
Die Unterkunft ist für 2 Personen absolut ausreichend. Sie ist von Petra sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Man findet alles, was man so benötigt. Von Toilettenpapier über Seife, Spülmittel, Gewürze, Öl, Kaffee, Tee, etc. Wir hatten zweimal das Glück die Nordlichter sehen zu können. Petra hat sogar extra bei uns geklopft, um uns Bescheid zu geben. Sie ist eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin und immer ansprechbar. Für Tierfreunde ist das Objekt auch was. Es gibt Pferde, Hühner, eine Katze und einen ganz lieben Hund, der sich über kleine Streicheleinheiten freut. Immer wieder gerne!! 😊

Das Häuschen lag in einer schönen Umgebung, nahe Selfoss. Der Ausblick war grandios. Wir waren 5 Nächte dort und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Von der Einrichtung her war alles notwendige da, einzig eine Mikrowelle wäre noch schön gewesen... Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Von uns 5 Sterne und eine klare Empfehlung.

Nordlichter aus dem Bett
Mein Freund und ich hatten einen 10 tägigen Aufenthalt in Klettholt bei Petra. Wir hatten uns die Ferienwohnung ausgesucht, da sie zentral im Süden des Landes gelegen ist. Die Wohnung war der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um zahlreiche Ziele in der Umgebung in unter 2 Stunden zu erreichen. Die Wohnung verfügte über alles, was man braucht, um entspannt Island zu genießen. Petra war eine tolle Gastgeberin, die immer sehr schnell auf unsere Fragen geantwortet hat. Und das Beste: Direkt am ersten Tag konnten wir zuerst aus dem Bett und dann von der Terasse aus zum ersten Mal wunderschöne Nordlichter bestaunen. Alles in Allem war es ein toller Urlaub mit einer tollen Ferienwohnung, die es uns erlaubt hat, auf eigene Faust Island zu erkunden.

Perfect location for natural beauty!
We loved staying here and would absolutely recommend for a couple. We could make breakfast there and have snacks stored in the fridge for a lunch on the road. We would HIGHLY recommend Krisp for dinner in Selfoss and the pub nearby. Petra was fabulous! We even got to see the Northern Lights briefly from the north-facing windows on our last night.

Sehr schöne ,ruhige Lage außerhalb von Selfoss, toll organisiert , super Wegbeschreibung , sehr freundliche Kommunikation ( sogar auf Deutsch ) das Haus war perfekt ausgestattet , es gab auch Gewürze und sonstige Lebensmittel , Genügend Handtücher , es war liebevoll eingerichtet mit schönen Bildern an der Wand , man fühlte sich zu Hause. Das Bett war eigentlich ein Sofa ,welches zu einem Bett umgebaut werden konnte , aber man hat wunderbar darin geschlafen .Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren traurig als wir wieder gehen mussten.

Perfect little cottage
I booked this place for my dad and sister to quarantine in leading up to my wedding in Iceland. Petra stocked the house with groceries for them and was very accommodating in so many ways. My family loved their stay and walking around the property to visit the horses.

Petra und und der Hausmeister Steini mit seinem Hund sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Anwesen liegt super günstig an der Ringstrasse 1 mit kurzem Weg nach Selfoss. Das gemütlich eingerichtete Cottage mit seinem grossen Doppelbett ist ein toller Rückzugsort nach langen Tagesausflügen. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt zudem passt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
