Exciting modernist house
We had a great time staying in this amazing house. The lintel over the front door indicates it was built in 1776, but step inside and it’s uncompromisingly modernist – the glass staircase is particularly exciting, and it’s fun to shower in the middle of a big room. The house is very spacious, so the 6 of us were able to spread out. It is situated on the edge of the village, so very quiet, and with great views over the countryside. The “swimming pool” is 2 metres wide and 0.5 metres deep – so more of a paddling pool really – but it’s lovely cooling your feet in it in the shade of a fig tree. The house is not entirely practical – eg the late-afternoon sun reflects blindingly off the shiny floor – and not everything works (part of the fun was locating which light switches are functional, and resetting the fuses when cooking with more than one ring caused the electricity to off), but these were minor issues, easily rectified, and added to the sense of occasion. David was lovely, and immediately responded to all queries; he even went out and bought extra glasses and mugs when he realised there weren’t enough for all of us. We loved living here and would come again.

Very comfortable house and good communication
The property is very well designed and very comfortable, well equipped and with large windows and AC. Some aspects need improvements (dish washer, some minor details). Only thing is that the lower level is a bit dark even during sunny days which would deserve to have more lights installed. Overall very good experience and good communication with the owner.

Modern with historic in one house, great views and comfy
This was ideal with teens wanting their own rooms. It is an old house but designed inside with very modern features. All you need in terms of wifi, fridge/freezer and washing machine and dishwasher. Astounding views of the surrounding mountains especially from the top floor. David was very helpful for check in or any other questions, and Seva is well located for excursions. We recommend a visit to Vic and the Museum of religious art, to Olot and the Espai Crater actually inside a volcano. Walks include the castanyer de nou branques, the walk to castell taradell, and a wonderful drive up to Colm Folmic, follow direction El Brull. All are very close by car. The monastery Sant Pere de Casseres overlooks the lake area, with lovely views.

Stunning house
We just came back from the property, having spent 3 weeks there. The house is one of a kind, incredible design inside, gorgeous sunset and views from panoramic windows. Yes some aspects of design might not be up to everyone's liking but focusing on those things would miss the point of this house - book and enjoy it!

Casa de diseño con espacios muy originales pero nula intimidad, no creo qie hubiera resultado una experiencia comoda si hubiera ido con alguien que no fuera mi pareja. Se nota el uso y desgaste en muchos de los elementos, la bañera esta toda descascarillada, un pasador de la puerta corredera ests roto y reparado con una chapuza, uno de los armarios de la cocina huele mucho a humedad y no puede usarlo para almacenar la comida, la puerta del armanrio que esconde la lavadora esta descolgada y es francamente molesto abrirla, la barbacoa es ridiculamente oequeña, sinceramente creo que le falta un poco de reforma o actualizacion. Por otro lado el nivel de limpieza de la casa fue decepcionante, sobretodo con el tema covid, no me hizo ninguna gracia encontrar la cafetera con una capsula la usada dentro y el horno y las sartenes bastante sucias, ni que los productos de la piscina esten en el mismo sitio que la vajilla. Por el resto, ubicacion, trato del propietario, las fotografías se ajustan a la realidad, todo perfecto.

Disappointing, the house didn’t live up to our expectations at all
We booked based on reviews (4.9/5!!!). We can’t recognize these though. Our summer vacation has not become what we expected. The house wasn’t clean. There were fingerprints at the windows and spiderwebs in some angles. The floor wasn't clean. We missed a vacuumcleaner, the available broom isn’t simply enough. The house isn’t child safe. No stairs have handrails. The 1st stair is open at one side and there are no balustrades at the stairwell and garden terrace. Children can fall easily at many spots. There was no internet available. This causes a lot of extra mobile phone costs. Electricity shut down many times. The refrigerator got ambient; this costed many groceries. The TV had no signal. The kitchen watertap is loose. The built-in grill and deepfryer don’t function. The kitchenchairs are worn out. No proper coffeemachine present. The bedroom venetian blind is broken. The showerdrain leaks through livingroom ceiling and walls. The bath is blistering and looks grubby. The top floor airco is broken, the venetian blind that should cover the half of the window is missing resulting in tropical temperatures. The top floor shower may not be used. There is only a paddling pool in the garden. Because Seva is located in a mountain area it takes at least 1 hour driving by car to reach the beaches. The proximity to the beach is too positively described. We find the host Davis a nice and helpful man and we don’t doubt his good intentions. Because one can only change things based on real feedback we have decided to share the similar feedback as above with David. He answered: I feel bad that the house has not satisfayed your expectations. Thank you for the message for to progress and we make better. We will like to recived you other summer or other time because you stay satisfaced with the enviorement and too with the house. Conclusion We can imagine that this review sounds very negative but it really reflects the way we have experienced our stay. We enjoyed the Catalan region but, unfortunately not the home. Way too less value for money paid.
