½ (4.5/5)We stayed at the Big Forest Lodge by Cabins for You and had an amazing experience! The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had a cozy, homey feel that made our entire family feel comfortable right away. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and spotless. One thing we really appreciated was the pool door alarm—especially helpful since we had babies traveling with us. The décor was lovely and added to the welcoming vibe of the house. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was a nice bonus for a big group like ours. Our only small complaint was the dull kitchen knives and the small pans, which made cooking large meals for our family a bit tricky. We ended up making a quick trip to Walmart to grab better ones, so it worked out fine.Overall, we give this cabin a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars and would absolutely recommend it to other families planning a group trip. We’d definitely love to stay again!
This place was amazing! It was clean and even more spacious than it looked in pictures. I booked it for a family reunion and everyone, especially the kids, has a blast. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Wow wow wow. Absolutely perfect. Had an amazing time. The weather was amazing, the views breathtaking, the lively nature of the cabin meet everyone’s needs
We had plenty of room to stretch out and relax with family and friends. All of the bedrooms had a private bathroom which was perfect. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of towels including pool towels. 4 microwaves which were very handy for our group. Kitchen layout was great for hosting the graduation dinner. Cabin was clean. Pool table was a hit for the big kids. Hot tub was nice. Pool was fun for the kids. Deck furniture was like new. We would rent it again.
One of the refrigerators did not work. The Directv did not work in any of the rooms and the upstairs dryer didn't work. Tiihe property manager was accomodating.

Family Vacation 2025
Overall the house was what we needed spatially and location wise. However, it was lacking in the details and isn’t maintained properly overall. it wasn’t very clean upon check in (feet were turning black from dirty floor). There were a lot of things that need to be fixed in the house. The pool stair railing is broken and dangerous. Can tell it has been fixed multiple times but needs to be replaced (all rusty). Vents were rusty. There was a broken dresser front. One of the fridges wasn’t working and when I contacted the company they said they opened a maintenance ticket but nothing was ever done about it during our stay. There was a broken toilet seat.
It was a very spacious property and a great setup for our reunion. Overall the property was great. Each family loved having their own private bathroom. Several room options for the kids to bunk up together. The decor and cleanliness was great. The only negatives were the hot tub took the entire weekend to warm up. The house took a solid day to cool down, and the pool was frigid and rarely used. Maintenance was called to check on the pool but we never had a warm pool. There were a few maintenance issues during our short stay as well but nothing that was too inconvenient. Be cautious on renting this if a pool is a must.
No hot water x3 of 5 days and fire alarm triggered by smoke coming from hot water tank. Luxurious home with 16 bed rooms 17 bathrooms 3 hot water heaters only 1 tank functioning was over worked and eventually gave out. During my THANKSGIVING MEAL, fire fighters arrived and shut down all hot water until maintenance could arrive on Friday afternoon. I arrived Tuesday and on Friday afternoon we had 2 functioning hot water heaters which allowed us to take quick showers with WARM water and do dishes with cold water. The house was dirty with large cob webs in the bedrooms. Trash of 55 people couldn’t fit in small receptacles and I was asked to keep trash in the home until it could be picked up once a day. Imagine all the trash of bathrooms and left over food sitting in bags on kitchen floor because it didn’t fit in the receptacles. Again 55 people during Thanksgiving was too much for this house. It was a bad experience and I paid over 20k and couldn’t receive hot water on demand, during Thanksgiving. Guests had to boil water on the stove to bathe in during 35 degree weather. It was an embarrassment I was very disappointed. I paid 20k during Thanksgiving and couldn’t get the luxury of hot water or trash removal or a clean house. Sadly it wasn’t worth the money maybe next time I’ll go on a cruise

Sales Meeting
Inside of property worked well for the purpose we needed.
This year marks three years in a row we have taken this business trip. We typically rent a cabin in this same area that has anywhere from 14-20 bedrooms due to the size of group we bring. Each time, it appears the craftmanship of the cabin continues to diminish.
For example, door handles loose or won't close/lock. Cabinet doors/handles falling off or barely hanging onto cabinet. Shower heads and nozzles loose. Floor tiles no longer adhered to the floor (wobbly), Pool features not working (this makes two times in a row these features have not worked). Pots, pans, and dishwashers falling apart. In all, I understand these are rentals and people do not always take care of them, but I feel for the expense we pay for a weeks stay, that some updates/repairs could be completed.
I rated check-in process at 4 stars simply because Cabins4You forgot to send me the entry code to unlock the cabin. They sent me all details but that one piece of crucial information.
I rated location and neighborhood at 3 stars because a new cabin was being built across the street. It was loud and took away from the peace and serenity we were seeking, along with the meetings that were taking place. It would have been nice to have been notified of this before our stay. Outside of the construction, I would normally rate this area/cabin with 5 stars as there is a beautiful view and the area is kept nice and clean.
Overall rating at 4 stars simply due to the condition of the cabin and the construction taking place. If repairs were made and construction was communicated beforehand, then this would be 5 stars.
