We enjoyed our stay at Bangalay Luxury Villas. The setting was peaceful and relaxing, the restaurant offered wonderful food and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the villa fell short of expectations. The lack of attention to detail really let us down and it was far from a 'luxury' experience - a coffee machine was provided, without any coffee pods, there was no welcome note which would have been a nice touch and certainly no welcome gift. There was no guest guide and the wifi reception was terrible. The shower was dirty with soap scum and hair in the drains. For a luxury villa, you would expect nice hand soap/toiletries - a bottle of Coles pump pack soap didn't really cut it! And for a 2-night stay with no room servicing, the offer of two paper thin towels and no towels to use at the pool was far from adequate. The villa would have benefited from some small touches to make it feel luxurious. A shame that the lack of attention to detail really meant we were disappointed and we certainly won't recommend to family and friends.
