Magione 10 is a charming apartment in the heart of the historic center of Siena, inside Porta Camollia. Recently renovated in 2023, it is located along the Via Francigena, within walking distance of Il Campo (900 m) and just 400 m from the escalator that connects the train station to the city center. The independent ground-floor entrance opens onto the characteristic 'Vicolo della Magione,' in the heart of the Contrada dell'Istrice.

The apartment features a modern design, with a play of colors, volumes, and carefully planned lighting that creates a pleasant and contemporary atmosphere.

The space is spread over two levels: the ground floor hosts the living area, while the sleeping area is slightly elevated. The apartment also includes a spacious bathroom and a practical utility room used for laundry and storage.

The living area consists of three distinct spaces: kitchen, dining, and relaxation. The kitchen is fully equipped with a worktop, induction stove, dishwasher, fridge, and sink. The dining area, which seats up to six guests, overlooks a charming alley. In the relaxation area, there is a sofa that can be converted into a French double bed (140 cm wide), and a 40" Panasonic Smart TV TX-40DE400E completes the space.

Five easy steps lead to the two double bedrooms. The first bedroom features a French double bed (140 cm wide), a wardrobe, and a 27" LG Smart TV 27TQ615S. The second, larger bedroom has a 160 cm bed, a wardrobe, a second 27" Smart TV, and an elegant antique writing desk.

The bathroom is modern and functional, with a spacious 150 cm shower enclosed by a sliding glass door.

The basement offers a versatile space with a sink, washing machine, ironing board, and areas for luggage and bicycle storage.

De netheid van de accommodatie, de duidelijke en vriendelijke communicatie, de staat van het huis en de fijne omgeving maken dit verblijf tot een echte aanrader. Wat ons het meest is bijgebleven, is het warme en persoonlijke contact met de eigenaars, Giovanni en Marta. Ze zorgen ervoor dat je je direct welkom voelt. De accommodatie zelf is superschoon en met zorg onderhouden. De ligging is ideaal: net buiten het drukste toeristische gedeelte van Siena, waardoor je kunt genieten van rust, maar tegelijkertijd ligt alles op loopafstand.

The PERFECT VRBO experience in Siena

Giovanni is an excellent communicator, let’s start there. Everything was communicated well and accurately, in order to best plan for the experience in Siena. All details were communicated efficiently, effectively, and timely. Upon arrival, we were very confused about parking outside the historic center of Siena. Giovanni communicated the best possible drop off spot for luggage and then parking. *Note*: Park at the Siena train station [2 euros / day], go into the mall area, go left to the PAM store, purchase all your essentials, and ride the escalators and moving sidewalks to the street side of Siena. you will be two blocks away from Porto Camilo: the very drop off point of your luggage [this process requires two people]. You are then a very short walk to Magione 10. Now, the apartment is SPECTACULAR! It is immaculate, well appointed, and all the amenities you could need. We prepared several meals there and exercised the dishwasher. The washing machine is conveniently located in the basement area and did the job of cleaning prior Rome tours. The beds are very comfortable, as are the pillows. *Note: you are on the end of Siena that is out of the fray of all the heavy tourism of the Duomo area. Otherwise, you will have noise and more noise as you try to rest. Giovanni was always a text away and was a very good concierge for our seemingly endless questions. He sent .pdf files for our reference, as well as personal suggestions for dinner. This is the Siena experience you desire.

Best host ever!

Giovanni and his family were the best hosts! The apartment is super cute and has everything you need. Everything was very clean. The location is great with easy access to town and everything. Street parking is just outside the wall about 5 min walk. The only negative is the location is noise til about 2am but that comes with the convenient location.

So great!!

Giovanni was the most thorough VRBO host we’ve ever worked with. Tons of information and suggestions since his family has been in Siena for generations. The apartment itself is fabulous. Beautifully updated and spotless. We had a brief problem with wifi and he was there within 10 minutes to fix it. The location is an easy 10 minute walk to the piazza and there are wonderful cafes/restaurants 2 to 3 minutes away which are much less expensive than the city center. There is also a grocery store 5 minutes away. We also took advantage of the washing machine. We were also provided a completely bottle of wine when we arrived. We highly recommend Giovanni’s apartment!

Charming Apartment

Our host Giovanni stayed in touch from the time of the booking. He share many wonderful tips on where to eat and visit. He and his family welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is charming and the hosts provides so many little touched from beautiful linens, to bath amenities and a fully stocked kitchen. Everything is clean and in good working order. The locations is perfect to visit Tuscany, Florence or the beaches. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Giovanni and Marta. We came as strangers and left as friends. If you stay here, you will have a wonderful time and not want to leave.

Prefect Siena Getaway

Magione 10 is a very nice place, it isn’t super fancy, but it is a clean, comfortable place right within the walls of the ancient city of Siena on the north end. It’s within a short walk to just about every thing you will likely want to visit and super convenient to many restaurants. The unit is fully furnished with the ability to make lunch or dinner, but we didn’t use it, our stay was only for 2 days. We would have liked to extend it though. The little details, such as the way the towels were bundled to the nice scent of the linens were very nice touches, but the real gem is the owner Giovanni and his wife. He goes so above and beyond with help to plan every aspect of a wonderful trip. He was as good as the Four Seasons concierge!! He found us a private car that we used to go wine tasting, and over to Montalcino. Restaurant suggestions, wine tours, private tours, etc. he has connections to everything as his family has lived in Siena for generations so he is well connected. Hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did.

When our son saw one excellent review for this property he was suspicious about it being from a bot. Well, after staying here four days our family of five can say it was definitely not a bot and that excellence is an apt description. Giovanni and his family have only recently begun listing this newly renovated property and it truly is a great place to stay in old Sienna. Clean, convenient, updated and with local knowledge and help always accessible from the host and his family and friends. What a wonderful stay we had at Magione 10, Sienna.

Most Amazing VRBO ever!!!!

Giovanni is an incredible host!!! His location is perfect to enjoy Siena- so central and right around the best food ever!!!! He went out of his way to give us restaurant recommendations and ensured we had the best time ever! Giovanni’s place is so perfect for two couples or a family travelling.
