SacroFanum è una villa con piscina, ideale per cinque persone situata in una posizione panoramica da cui si può godere della vista del vicino paesino di Scrofiano e della Valdichiana. La villa è di uno stile tipico toscano, circondata dagli uliveti e dai boschi di querce. L'ambiente è provvisto di tutto il necessario per soggiornare e rilassarsi, a pochi chilometri c'è la Valdorcia, il Chianti e le città di Montepulciano, Cortona, Siena, Pienza e Firenze.

A heavenly view

If you’re looking for a vacation from you’re Italian vacation, this is the spot. Beautiful views from both sides of the villa. Enjoy an incredible sunrise eating breakfast overlooking the tiny village and valley. Spend your afternoon lounging by the poolside almost parallel with the clouds (If any exist), then back to the other side for an outdoor fire / grill and dinner as the lights from the city below twinkle. A beautiful, peaceful getaway on the hilltop. Kitchen amenities aren’t the most modern but they are more than sufficient and lent to the overall experience. A place I’d definitely come back to.

Fantastisk sted

Vi kan kun anbefale denne feriebolig! Vi (mor, far, to piger på 12 og 14 år) var der i 14 dage, og vi nød det i fulde drag! Huset ligger for enden af en grusvej, helt isoleret og fredfyldt med den smukkeste udsigt. Vi nød stilheden og poolen i høj grad. Turen op gennem Scrofiano skal man lige vænne sig til, og man kan ikke komme igennem med en for stor bil - men så kan man køre udenom. Vi kommer gerne igen!

Stunning Views, idyllic location

If you want stunning views at Breakfast time, whilst swimming in the pool or sat out at night having dinner this is the place to be. The views across the Tuscan countryside from the remote villa are stunning and idyllic. The quirky little villa is well maintained and well equipped. Numerous fridges dotted around the villa which are very welcome and something we have never had in our 17 years of visiting Italy. Usually it is just one fridge with a tiny freezer compartment. The lack of air conditioning is preventing me from giving this place a full 10/10 but it is very close. We loved it, completely isolated and away from any noise on top of a hill over looking the rolling hills of Tuscany. 1 hour from my favourite place, Perugia and 30 mins from my other favourite place, Siena. 2 must visit places. All in all 8.5 out of 10. Thank you so much for a very relaxing holiday. Hoping to visit you again soon. 😊

Beautiful, secluded location with fabulous views

First impressions of this location is that it is a work in progress. A spacious villa for a couple or couple with a one or two children. Clear directions need to be added to the website urgently! The property address advertised indicates a street and house number a quarter of a mile away in the village of Scrofiana with absolutly no indication of the villa posted at the roadside before you traverse the length of gravel road alongside the hill. The owners were quick to respond to our emails and attended within a short time to guide us in. The villa is approached through the very narrow, steep streets of Scrofiana, once at the other side a private unmade road leads to the property. The nearest shop/bar is a ten minute walk into Scrofiana, where we were met with a friendly, helpful reception and some very reasonably priced wine and snacks. The nearest restaurants, supermarkets etc are approx 4.5kms distance into Sinalunga. The villa has the basic equipment, a wonderful private pool although a short walk from the actual villa. The property is advertised and photographed with a tV, although there was not one in the villa at the time of our visit. This was our honeymoon and consequently we spent more time than usual at the villa and we found the lounge sofa to be tired, cushions torn and extremely uncomfortable. The bed was a large one but the mattress was very soft and not very comfortable. The wifi was not functioning for the first two days, but again the owner worked to resolve this issue for us. (We relocated the router which also helped). The supply of a sun umbrella, kettle, and functioning pool side loungers, clean deckchairs, would have been a godsend. These few niggles aside, the privacy, seclusion and sheer beauty of the views from the terrace make this a villa to visit. The addition of the pool is a fabulous touch, along with the fresh picked figs to top off the dinner plates. As stated at the start of this review, we got the impression that this villa is a work in progress and we would hope that with a little constructive input through reviews the owners could iron out these small issues and end up with a perfect retreat for travelers. Despite the above feedback we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.... Thank you so much Manola and Massimo x
