The lobby, cafe and dining areas are really nice, hip and trendy. The staff are helpful and pleasant. It's a lovely hotel, but the surrounding areas are terrible. The area approaching the train station has a lot of unsavoury characters hanging around and an overwhelming stench of urine along the street.There was a shooting one of the evenings I returned from a day in Bruges, meaning I had to take a detour to exit the station. The graffiti and general cleanliness of the surrounding areas is terrible. It's a bit of a walk in to town, I had no problems with this but wouldn't be suitable for someone perhaps less fit. It's a shame because it's a lovely hotel, the location is just not ideal.

"I stayed at the Penthouse suite and was a wonderful experience. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. Location is great and I was able to walk to stores. Very clean and comfortable stay."
