「It was really nice to be out of town a little. The road traffic was loud in the evenings but didn’t keep us awake. Just as described. 」

「Our family of 9 stayed here for a week! The house is fabulous—we didn’t want to leave. We utilized the hot tub, sauna, fire pit and grill. We invited friends from town over for fresh Halibut and Salmon we caught. They told us they had all been to the house for a wedding or some function. It’s definitely a Sitka landmark. (We saw a bear and multiple bald eagles through the binoculars! ) Highly recommend this house! 」

「Great place to stay. Roomy and clean. If you are bothered by dog noise such as running back and forth on the floor above and barking this may not be ideal. If that doesn’t bother you then you will love staying here. We had a rental car so getting in to town was a breeze. It’s a fair walk into town but doable. The car was great for getting to some of the more remote areas of Sitka for hiking and nature. 」

「This home on Japonski Island is a short walk into Sitka. It was amazing! Along with the constant views of beautiful Alaska out the walls of windows, this home is sparkly clean. Amenities are organized and plentiful. We were so comfortable that it was hard to leave! The owner was easy to contact and helpful. This property will not disappoint. Over the years, it is one of the best we have ever rented through VRBO. We hope to return! Mary in Vermont, formerly from Sitka」

「5 Fishermen visiting Sitka a few days prior to staying in a Lodge, needed a place to stay for 2 nights and this place fit our needs perfectly. Great kitchen for this cook and near new BBQ steps away, it was the perfect setup. Hiking trail system that connects Sitka is out the front door, very convenient. You'll need a rental car for this unit, but I'd recommend that for anyone visiting Sitka for a couple of days. I'd definitely recommend this unit, very friendly and helpful owners, great unit, 」
