The area on the mild east coast of Denmark offers a fantastically varied nature. Everywhere the fjord, the "dam" of Haderslev, the forests and the beaches are close by, allowing for active recreation. A few kilometers from the center of Haderlev lies "Dyrehaven", a park with lots of forest, meadows and lawns and an incredibly rich animal life. Or you can take a boat trip on Haderslev Fjord and experience a unique fascinating interplay of water and land, fauna and flora on the 12 km long narrow fjord.
