This is an older property that could use some updates... carpets, linens and the bathroom. It did have everything we need and it was a sight for sore eyes after driving from the east in a snow storm. The staff were amazing... friendly and wanted to help however they could. I would recommend this property.

Great stay at Hotel Varmahlíð
Great stay at Hotel Varmahlíð as we drove the Ring Road. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, easy parking and clean room. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast from their hotel restaurant.

Frábær dvöl.
Við vorum mjög sátt við dvölina. Rúmgott og snyrtilegt herbergi, rúmin góð og baðherbergið fínt. Maturinn var fullkominn í alla staði og starfsfólkið alveg frábært. Allt eins og best verður á kosið 😊

Hôtel isolé en période hivernale
Très bon accueil. Cependant, restaurant affiché fermé sur l'application, sur place en début d'après midi on nous dit que le restaurant est ouvert, le soir arrivé, le restaurant propose 2 soupes. Ni plus ni moins. La chambre est confortable, néanmoins la salle de bains mériterait un rafraichissement. Le pommeau de douche est rouillé en apparence. Le petit déjeuné servi était copieux et de qualité

Comfortable hotel with Sulfur smell in the water
The people were friendly here. They have an onsite restaurant and the food was good as well as the included breakfast. The only negative was the hydrogen sulfide smell to the water made taking a shower a bit of an Icelandic experience.

Kind of rund down place. Friendly staff. Our bathroom had not been properly cleaned, from previous guests. Decent restaurant. Maybe its the only hotel in the area. Would I come here again? Yes

I enjoyed an early morning walk from the hotel. The room itself was worn and in need of updating (including the towels and the mattress). The television was non-functional. The receptionist seemed uninterested on check-in. This was the most disappointing property of the 8 we stayed in over 11 days. Breakfast was good but I wouldn't revisit this hotel unless it was absolute must.

Lovely small hotel, great views from the parking. Staff is very polite, friendly and ready to help. Rooms are quite big, comfortable beds with good private bathroom. Delicious breakfast with lots of options to choose from. Recommended.
