"We stayed here for the hot spring and skiing. The sauna and outdoor bath were awesome – we loved them! The hotel itself is a bit old-fashioned and has a 90s atmosphere, but there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, it felt like a nice cultural experience, a bit different from the usual modern hotels in Japan.
The only downside for me was the dinner option. There was only a set course menu, which didn’t work well for me because I was very hungry after snowboarding all day. The food was beautiful and delicate, but the portions were quite small – I could finish each dish in one or two bites, and then had to wait a while for the next course. That was a bit challenging when you’re really hungry."

"It is a love hotel, so a booking through expedia seemed to be unusual. But the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the large bath and nice shower, large bed and many amenities of the hotel. There is a dyson hairdryer, a straightener, face steamer, and so on. Popular brands of shampoo, etc. can be borrowed for free. Drinks, icecream etc. in the room for additional charge, room service orders until 4:00am. Anything you might want is probably available. We only booked because there were no rooms in Sapporo at an affordable price, but the stay was amazing, would come again!"

"Zenibako House was the perfect place for my stay during the Sapporo Snow Festival. It was a comfortable home base surrounded by excellent local cuisine and culture, and practically right next door to the local train station so my friends and I could get to Sapporo proper any time we wanted. The next time I visit Hokkaido I'll definitely check to see if this place is available; I'd love to come back again some time."
