Hidden Gem in the heart of wine country!
A wonderful cottage close to element 79 with a great set up that was comfortable for us and our 8 week newborn to share. Plenty of space heaters to keep us warm too :)

Nice retreat near multiple wineries
A great stay with only minor issues: (1) gate code was very temperamental and (2) you have to pull the cottage door towards you when trying to lock the door. Love the location. Close to wineries and a gas station.

No kids weekend
We always love coming to the Fairplay area. This was a new place to stay for us and we really enjoyed it. It has everything you need in a beautiful spot. Our only complaint is that the bed is really hard, too much for our liking. Get a foam mattress topper on there and it would be perfect.

Beautiful place
This was such a cute little cottage! It was our first time away in almost 3 years since we have kids so it was very special. Kelly allowed me to check in early so I could decorate the room to Surpise my fiancé . And when we got there, there was a welcome board personalized with our names and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. It couldn’t have been any more perfect.

Everything was just wonderful! The cottage was very clean, welcoming, and quiet. We enjoyed staying there and celebrating our friends that got married in the area! Efficient cottage on a peaceful property in the hills.

Wedding and Wineries Weekend
What started out as just a place to stay while attending a wedding in the area turned into a nice weekend get away. The Element Cottage was clean, comfortable and great place to relax after a day exploring area wineries and the historic town of Placerville. We will definitely return.

Clean, Quiet Cottage in the Vines
A wonderful overnight stay in a clean, quiet cottage in the vines. My only problem is we should have stayed longer. Checking in at Element 79 tasting room was delightful with a gorgeous view and wine tasting of their delicious wines. Our cottage awaiting us less than a mile away with a bottle of wine which we enjoyed as we watched the sun set over the vines with their autumn colors. Spacious, quiet, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend. We will definitely return and plan a longer visit to explore the area. Thank you to our gracious hosts.

Nashville getaway
The property was perfect for our group of 6 mature adults. The property is well located and close to Printer's Alley and Broadway. Very comfortable with high ceilings and the large comfortable Living Room. We had a running pool competition for the 4 days we were there. So fun. We will rent again if available next time we return.

Everything was so sweet and cozy including the bottle of wine provided by the hosts! We really enjoyed the boutique experience of the cottage at the vineyard as well as finding some great boutique wineries! We have this place on our go-to list!

Very clean newly remodeled garage convertion. Well maintained. If winery shopping is your thing this is a great place to stay. We had a miner problem with the a.c. but the owner was there to take care of it mins.

So great!
I really appreciated the communication and prompt responses from the host! The room was clean, had coffee (with creamer!), wine, TV, etc. It is close to wineries and was perfect for our weekend stay. Easy check-in. Quiet. I will definitely stay there again if I'm up that way.

Beautiful, comfortable getaway cottage in wine country
Stayed 2 nights at the Element Cottage while in the area for a wedding. Check-in was easy and friendly, the location was spectacularly beautiful this time of year and the cottage was cute, comfy, and cozy. We didn't have time to do any wine tasting, but would love to go back and stay again for that purpose. The staff was very helpful in accommodating some special last minute issues that we had that had to do with our timing and they were very gracious. Would stay again.

first time staying there, we will go back for sure. The place is nice and up-to-date, the complementary bottle of wine was Awesome zinf 2016 wow😍 . Les and Sharon The owner are really really nice people. I poured some wine, took a walk around the vines tasting that great wine. Overall for us,, Awesome place to get Away from the city loved it.

Must stay!
Great location! It is secluded and gated. Walking in smells brand new and very inviting. They are a mile from multiple wineries which are must visits including the owners of the cottage winery. Very modern and the first place you see. Be sure to enjoy a glass of wine like we did before checking out the cottage and then enjoy more with the excellent bottle they graciously provide when you arrive. Will be back!!!

The Cottage
The cottage was perfect for our short stay. The owner was very flexible with our changing arrival time. The one thing that maybe could be improved was the directions to the actual cottage once you are through the gate. We missed the immediate left turn ( was not it the directions) and since we arrived after dark it was a little more challenging to find the access. But we found it fairly quickly and enjoyed the place very much. Thank you!

We were attending a gathering a couple of miles away. This was a perfect location, private and quiet. Full amenities needed. Enjoyed coffee out on the patio before 8am and enjoyed the view and peace. This was the perfect stay for my husband and I. Located in the middle of wine country, but far enough from home to feel like a mini vacay. The Element Cottage was just what we needed and just enough space for the two of us. We'll definitely be back!

Hidden Cottage in Fair Play
This wonderful cottage in the heart of Fair Play is perfect for a couple wanting to escape for a weekend. The studio cottage has all of the amenities you need including a small kitchenette for coffee in the morning, a small fridge to store your charcuterie and a microwave for leftovers from the Creekside restaurant just down the road. There was an area to sit just outside of the cottage where you can enjoy a glass of wine and just watch the vineyards. It's very peaceful and quiet. It has the added bonus of being 5 minutes from a dozen wineries as well. Les, Sharon and the manager Kelly were very responsive and welcoming to us. They provided a bottle of wine from Element 79 which is a must visit if you are in the area. They have wonderful charcuterie trays and when there isn't a pandemic, they do a fantastic wine and chocolate pairing. Overall, we had a great and relaxing weekend. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

Wonderful escape
My husband and I “escaped” from the confines of sheltering in place to attend a funeral nearby. It was a delight to stay at the cottage and to get a change of scenery. As soon as we walked in, the place smelled refreshingly brand new! It was charming, clean and fresh. The cottage was appointed with fluffy white towels, high-end soaps and lotions, a well appointed kitchenette with microwave, coffee maker, toaster and small fridge. The cottage also had access to a sunny seating area where we ate breakfast and dinner (Chinese takeout) outside with a view of the property’s vineyards. Because of Covid, we were unable to wine taste at the owner’s Element 79 winery, but we were greeted with a nice bottle of zinfandel from the vineyard in our cottage. We look forward to coming back when they re-open for tastings! The winery is as inviting and trendy as the finest Napa wineries. Met the owners and they were delightful people. We’ll be back!
