A must see Beautiful, One-Of-A-Kind mountain get-away. This newly constructed (2024) beautiful timber framed cabin has more amenities, breathtaking views, and the greatest sunsets you will ever see in the Laurel Highlands. Escape to the mountains for a weekend of luxury living in this brand new Timber Framed Custom Home. Enjoy the privacy of the mountains with plenty of activities including a small private pond on the property (fully stocked) and direct access to miles of mountain biking/hiking trails right out the front door. You are within walking distance to Forbes State Forest and just a short drive to Hidden Valley (5 minutes); Seven Springs (15 minutes); OhioPyle (35 minutes) and Idlewild Park & Soakzone (35 minutes). This property is part of the Fern Mountain Development located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands and directly adjacent to Forbes State Forest with 1000s of acres and miles of trails available for hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and much more. This property is within minutes of Hidden Valley Resort and Seven Springs Resort with some of the best skiing and golfing in the Mid-Atlantic. And a short drive to Idlewild Park and Soakzone which features seven exciting theme areas and was rated the 'Best Kids Park in the World' by Amusement Today. The Laurel Highlands has many activities for all individuals. Come to the mountains for the beautiful fall foliage; skiing, snowmobiling, or even hunting during the winter months; and don't forget about golfing and sporting clays at Seven Springs in the summer months. And when you are done enjoying all the outdoor activities of the Laurel Highlands, there are plenty of fun activities inside the cabin including full size arcade games, dart board, large bar area, and bubble hockey game in the basement. A large shuffle board game in the upstairs loft area is a great game for adults. And also a large outdoor fire pit for roasting marshmallows. There is something for everyone. Wes was great to work with. We arrived under tough winter weather conditions and he made sure we arrived safely. 4-Wheel drive for winter conditions is strongly suggested. The house and view are amazing. We hope to have the opportunity to visit again!

Great little getaway close to home

Amazing location in a beautiful home that will be sure to create lasting memories. We booked this location due to it's close proximity to 7 Springs and Hidden Valley for a family ski weekend. We had a great time in this lovely home.If you ever book this house. Take the time to enjoy a cup of coffee up in the family room and watch the sun rise.

Girls Trip!!

The pictures didn’t even do it justice! There are multiple gathering spaces. We had more than enough room for 13 women to gathering and gab. The view is breathtaking. Additionally, despite the rural location the Internet supported all guests cell phones AND the televisions. Super hard to find with secluded cabins! Lastly, our host was so responsive and helpful even after check out. The house was so clean and so beautiful.

Soothes the Soul

My family and I stayed at the cabin in mid October and celebrated my mother in law’s birthday. The owner was gracious enough to let us check in a few hours early so that we could decorate before my mother in law arrived. The owner was very responsive to our texts when we had questions. The home and the view was even better than the pictures (if that’s possible). The home and the property are immaculately maintained. The house is beautifully decorated and the view is amazing. Looking at that view for a few days truly soothes the soul. We would definitely rent this house again. Everyone had a great time!

A nice 3-day stay in large, lovely decorated rooms. Kitchen wasn't as well-stocked with cookware as we'd expected, but we made do. Highly recommend the cabin for your vacation.

Good family gathering place

The house is beautiful if not a little worn from use. The open floor plan and location was fabulous. Main complaints were the lack of secure internet and difficulties with the TV system. If you plan on being out a lot to enjoy skiing, etc. then this should not detract. We had older folks in our group who stayed in the house the entire time and they were disappointed by the TV issues. We also had two younger members who planned to do some work while here but could not due to internet issues. The mountain location is attributed to the internet issues. Putting these things aside, the weather cooperated and we had snow! We used the outside fire pit on a number of occasions and the outside grill. The game room was great fun for the youngest of the family and the open floor plan provided plenty of opportunities for conversation. Overall it is a good place for family gatherings.

Great ski getaway

Home was beautiful and comfortable - pictures show exactly how beautiful it is. Owner was extremely helpful and communicative, even escorted me to the property on the evening I arrived. Hidden Valley was a short 7 minute car ride away and we slept 2 families comfortably in the home. Kids loved the bunk bed room and games in the basement! I would highly recommend this rental.
