Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."

"Comfortable cosy stay in lovely, clean cottage which is dog friendly. Situated minutes from shops meaning you can easily get your essentials or grab a drink in a lovely pub. Nice location and suitable base to drive to other parts of the region. The cottage was clean and presented as described. WiFi was excellent throughout ( I know that’s required for some, but not us) Has a small back garden, which is gated and perfect for dogs to stretch their legs."

"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. "Second stop here, just as good! It’s quirky decor, each room different, with it’s own imperfections make Clementines what it is…different and brilliant! Staff are sooo friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are superb. Close to the magical city centre, but out of the hustle and bustle and an easy 5/10’ walk. Visiting York? Make it a complete experience, stop at Clementines."

"My recent day at the Hilton in York York is a beautiful city as I entered the Hilton hotel was told the car park was full and I had to book which I did not know lucky my disabled partner had a disabled badge where we could stay over the road, which wasn’t too bad walked into reception they were very pleasant and polite stayed in my room 241 as I entered, I was pleasantly surprised but a bit of a downside was the room was a little bit dusty like it had not been checked and rushed. I went to the room then immediately went out on the plus side the bed was very comfy a little bit of a negative the bath Matt in the room was disgusting. Black underneath showerhead did not stay up expected a lot more from the Hilton being it was my first stay there. I thought it would be fabulous and I was wow but it was just like any other hotel maybe you need to address this if you read this comment Would I stay there again? Probably yes because it is very close to everything. Would I pay the same price? Probably not"

"We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were very clean and well equipped and reception staff were very kind to organise an extra duvet for us for our second night. Breakfast was excellent, the freshly made waffles was a first for us and we definitely ate far too many. Can also recommend the SPARKS food market opposite for a very convenient dinner option."

"We received a warm welcome from staff when we arrived. Our room was clean and spacious with a kettle to make hot drinks, you can also get unlimited coffee, tea, sugar and milk in reception which is useful. There was a large selection to choose from for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was all nice and warm. Parking is free but make sure you enter your car reg on the iPad in reception. This is our second visit to this hotel and we will visit again as it’s in a good location."
