Our stay with Dawn was fantastic. Very spacious house with a great back yard. The neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood was very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again
Dawn was very accommodating and very responsive. The main living room /kitchen area was a great space to share family time together. Everyone enjoyed swimming in the lake, using the canoe and paddle boat! We enjoyed a day of golf as well! A great place to build lasting memories!
This was a very nice place with lots of room. Enjoyed every minute. I was shocked that the pool cost $7 per person/ per day, I thought it was included with the stay. Other than that it was good, we had a great time.
Our family felt right at home in this cozy house.
We especially loved and appreciated the lake access, our canoe ride to the swimming area, the screened-in porch with soothing chimes, and well stocked kitchen! We had everything we needed for a fun family vacation with our adult children. We boated in the sun all day, and played board games at the table every evening. Made for lasting memories for sure.
We rented this house and another just down the street for a family reunion. This house was very comfortable and it was very nice to hang out in the water and the lawn area. It was very hot the week we were there and so floating in the water was enjoyable. The house was as advertised and all worked well. The washing of the bed linens and towels prior to leaving with a 10:00am checkout was not ideal and I really wish there had been another option. We knew that coming in, but it made for an early morning for all on checkout day. Owner was responsive with any of our needs.
The house was large enough to accommodate my group of six adults and three children. With three levels there are stairs so folks with mobility issues may have problems. The neighborhood and the whole lake gave off a safe, low key, uncrowded, family vibe. Everyone we met on the water or on land gave us a smile or wave. The house is close to the end of one of the creek arms off the main lake. There is a two-person canoe with paddles, a one-person kayak without a paddle and a two-person paddle boat that looks like it has not been used in a while. We rented a ponton boat from a local marina who dropped off and picked up from the house's bock. Caught catfish casting a bottom rig with sausage straight out from the house dock. Caught smaller fish using a very small hook, bobber, worm set- up in the morning and evening as small fish move into and out of the vegetation to the left of the dock. Host was responsive.
We had our whole family and dogs with us and this home was perfect for our needs. The yard and firepit were amazing and the view was breathtaking especially in the morning with the morning mist. There was ample seating for our family to enjoy a meal together at either the table in the kitchen or on the back porch. We loved it!
The house was large enough to accommodate 8 adults and 8 kids(1-14). The dock was loved by all ages. The middle floor was a very open space that was utilized as our main hub of gathering. The area was nice, large yard for the kids to run around, neighbors were great and put on an awesome 4th firework show.
Location was excellent, cove was quiet and good for swimming, fishing and canoeing. House was roomy and comfortable. Screened in porch was really nice We mostly used paper plates but there were only 8 forks so we had to go buy some plastic utensils . We didn’t use the playground or beach area because we weren’t willing to pay 7:00/person/day but the dock at the house worked.
Our experience was amazing! The house was perfect and very open with plenty of space for all of us. The location was also great and the lake view was beautiful! We would definitely stay again.
We had a great time at this house for our family vacation. We loved all the amenities, and the house was very clean upon arrival. The host Dawn was always very friendly and gracious in her communication. We were so thankful to have this time together and look forward to returning!

Family Father's Day Vacation Gift
Had a great time. The property was nice. It was s little out dated and the extras to use such as life vests and kayaks were in dinky condition, so we didnty want to use them.
Absolute perfect house for a family trip. Lots of beds/room. The access to the water was amazing. You had gas and a restaurant within minutes. The park with the water slide was a nice touch and kids loved it. Very convenient spot that didn't have a lot of boat traffic coming through it.Only complaint is during checkout, having every single bed sheet in the house cleaned and folded by 10am is DIFFICULT. We got it done, but it required everyone being up at 6am to get through all the loads of laundry. But otherwise the owners were amazing, good responders, and kept a clean house with plenty to do to have fun! Definitely recommend!
The property had everything we needed. Very well stocked. I wish we had been allowed to use the neighborhood ramp to drop off our jet skis without paying $7 but the public ramp wasn't far so we used that instead.
The amenities were great. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed using the canoe, kayak, board games, cds and fire pit. The only complaint is having to wash the sheets and towels before departure. We ended up using our own, because we saw no way to get them all washed before checking out at 10:00 am.
The host was very responsive to any questions we had throughout the stay. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing and swimming right off the back dock and making s'mores by the fire pit. Just a short walk away is the beach area- where the kids had a great time on the slide . We also made use of the community pool on the very hot days. The house was spacious and accommodating for everyone.
We had lots of fun! Was amazing how festive the neighbors were with fireworks for the holiday! Dock area was very shallow lots stumps had a bit of issues with the boat we rented due to stumps rocks near dock! Otherwise everything was amazing we enjoyed our stay!!!
Pros Comfortable beds and nice linen.Home was cleanRoomy, there were 13 of us.Cons No place to store provisions. Every kitchen cabinet was full. There were only 8 forks for 13 people Could not play w the yard games we brought bc the grass was too high and not cut until our last day.Paddle boat was broken. (realized after pulling it out of poison ivy and cleaning it for 30 mins.)Its these small attention to details that make a good stay a great stay.I only gave location 3 stars bc there was very little shade, the water was very shallow and extremely muddy.
We had a wonderful stay at the lake house. The weather was hot and humid but the lake was a perfect temperature. The dock was very convenient for my boat even though the depth finder showed some areas that got pretty shallow (<3 feet). By the end of the week, I discovered what areas to avoid (forewarned about stumps). There is a semi-private boat ramp about 2 blocks away that is small but worked well to launch and retrieve my 17 foot bowrider. The creek where the house resides leads to Lake Gaston with about a 5 minute boat ride. If you wanted a break from the lake, there is a club house pool at the golf course entrance, that for a small fee, we enjoyed for a day. We didn't bring our clubs but the golf course looked nice. Some things to consider or suggestions: Bring your groceries. There are grocery stores but they are about 20 miles away. If you like to watch TV, there is only 1 on the 2nd floor. I know its vacation - but there are no TVs besides 1. Thankfully we brought an iPad to catch up on the news before bed. Also the Wi-Fi doesn't extend to the dock. Meaning during the day, streaming music over a blue tooth speaker was tedious but we figured out a system through trial and error. Other than that, we will definitely be back. It was a perfect 3 hour get-away and the host was very accommodating. We live at the beach but the lake was a welcome change. Thanks for sharing your home.
