“Wonderfully friendly host, gorgeous location, very relaxing and comfortable house. A great way to get away from the usual tourist route and to see another part of the Kaikoura coast. Loved listening to the ruru at night, watching the quail in the backyard, reading the history of the valley, and hanging out with the sheep. The kitchen was well appointed and easy to work in, the lounge and beds were very comfortable. The only drawback is that the house might be a little tricky for a larger……

“Wonderful accommodation close the Able Tasman, beaches, caves, Farewell Spit, lots of interesting activities. The farm house is comfortable and well equipped. Kitchen is well oufitted, even shap knives! Beautiful deck for al fresco dining. Comfortable beds. Rob and Ivor are fabulous hosts willing to share a wealth of information about the area. The farm animals are fun to observe. An overall great stay.”

“A wonderful peaceful retreat! Comfy beds, full kitchen, big lounge chairs to sink into, while watching that superb view over a quiet lake. Clean windows helped. Everything you could want in the kitchen. We loved the artwork around the walls and the ambience! The books around gave us history and birdlife and would encourage more days to stay if we had the time! We felt very private and the total silence must have been good for the soul.”

“Our family only stayed one night but it was lovely. Super comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and a great view of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast supplies provided (fresh farm eggs, bread, homemade jams) were also great, especially as the location is somewhat remote. Definitely a great place to stop if you are exploring the area.”
