One-of-a-kind historical estate overlooking the 15th fairway of the Donald Ross designed Mid Pines Golf Course in Southern Pines. Often described as having one of the ''best'' golf course views in The Sandhills, The Knollwood Manor was built in 1926 and lovingly cared for through the years. The elegance of this English Country Manor exists in concert with 2.06 acres of natural beauty. The sweeping back lawn overlooking the golf course is the perfect setting for entertaining or simply kicking back to enjoy life in The Sandhills. Residence features 5 spacious bedrooms on the second floor, all with private bath. Bedrooms facing the golf course have sleeping porches with additonal twin beds. Gourmet Kitchen, 2 fireplaces, hand-molded plaster ceilings & walls and the dramatic Formal Dining Room for large gatherings. Numerous historical architectural elements include original oak hardwood flooring, original slate roof, fluted glass doorknobs, vintage diamond patterned lead glass windows, and copper gutters. Outdoor lighting and ring doorbell camera at main entrance facing driveway for added security. Additional x3 cameras on north side of property and x1 on south side of property covering the side driveway and backyard/golf course area.

Group of friends

The guys played golf, the girls shopped and did yoga at Hot Asana. The house is wonderful with a beautiful sun room overlooking the 15th hole of Mid Pines, located just a short drive to downtown Southern Pines with lots of great restaurants.

Phenomenal property!

The house was perfect. We had no idea this place had so much history! Plenty of room for our 14 guests, both inside (Dining table sat all of us comfortably too!) and on the back patio/yard. The owner was helpful and sent a message during our stay, to see if we needed anything. You won’t be disappointed. We found a gem and will definitely book this again in the future.

Great weekend!

My friends and I enjoyed a great weekend of golf and lodging at this fantastic house. The property manager was exceptional and the house met all of the needs of our group of 8 golfers. Will be back soon!

Good family gathering spot

The property offers a unique glimpse into the history of the area. It was comfortable for our family gathering with 9 staying on property and four others gathering for meals and activities. The five bedrooms, each with a bath, served our family well, but the number of beds can be deceiving if you are looking for privacy for adults. Several of the "extra" beds are actually on porches of three of the listed bedrooms. This works for a child of a couple, but not great for multiple adults. Welcome packet is well done but is not in print anywhere so be sure to review it before you arrive. It is hard to read on your phone. Host was very responsive to requests, both prior to and during our visit.

Family Golf Outing

To celebrate our daughter's 30th Birthday we rented this house for a two night stay in the beginning of October. We were three couples and a single. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom We loved the house and I could see it being the perfect place for an even bigger group to get together and cook, relax and play games. The sun porch was the favorite hangout spot for our group. The sleeping porches were too. The house is close to Pinehurst and Southern Pines and it was a great place to come home to after 18 holes. Tyler provided everything we needed for check in and check out plus gave us lots of tips. Thank you Tyler!

Fantastic Property

Recently completed a 4 night stay with 8 gentlemen on a golf trip to beautiful Southern Pines / Pinehurst area. Found Knollwood Manor and it was the perfect property for our stay. The iconic house is extremely well kept, well appointed, and updated nicely throughout. Tyler is a wonderful host and was extremely attentive to every request and communication. We could not be more pleased with our stay. Highly recommend!

This was my second time here, both for golf trips and each time was fantastic! Is an amazing house and perfect for groups! Close to everything you need and a great setup inside to accommodate groups.
