“This is the place to stay! Fun, colorful and playful. The rooms are each done in the style of a different year, 1950-1988 (I think), except for the King Suite that we were in for two nights in the 1925 Great Gatsby style. Besides nice rooms, the property has nice sitting areas (we enjoyed the deck area), a game room with pool table, foosball table and a variety of board games, an inexpensive laundry for guests, two outdoor grills (that we put to use), a horseshoe pit, a giant chess game outside,……

“The room appeared to be clean, the air-conditioning system appeared to be very old. The room needed some serious maintenance. The wallpaper was coming off the wall. There were holders in the bathroom that were holding nothing that could be taken down if there’s nothing to hold anymore, there were only a half a dozen Kleenexes in the box and no extra, and it did not fit into the Kleenex holder in the cabinet in the bathroom. The lamp had to be plugged in as the on and off switch did not work. The……

“Our stay was wonderful. The rooms are very quiet and clean. Location is perfect if you're visiting the Gunnison/Crested Butte area. We will definitely stay here again.”

“We found The Boundary Hotel a mixed bag... It's a newly renovated place and was competitively priced for Durango in high season. The positives: It's conveniently located on the northern part of the main drag it's easy to reach. It's located only a couple of blocks from a City Market grocery store - completely walkable. It's also pretty close to the Animas River trail, so we were able to access it without needing our vehicle. The renovation is pretty well done and the room was fairly large,……

“This stay started out bad on day 1. I arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon, 30 minutes before their check-in time, which is usually no problem for other hotels, it's difficult to plan your trip where you're driving all day and arrive right at check-in time. Well, the lady at the desk told me check-in time is 3:00, come back in 30 minutes, she said they were still cleaning.
