Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center

"I usually don’t leave reviews, but I had to leave one. I just went to Houston for the Dreamcon convention and the next time I come back for next year, I will be also staying at this hotel! The staff are extremely nice and friendly. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are very comfortable! There’s also a Starbucks inside! I will be coming back to this hotel every year for future conventions or just a day trip to Houston! Highly recommend!"

Hyatt Place Houston Medical Center
8/10 Good
"My chief complaint is the sickeningly sweet smell of the room. It permeates all my clothes and luggage, and I continue to smell it on my clothes after I get home. Too many hotels do this, and I don't know why. I thought Hyatt Place would be better than this. The other thing that was bizarre was that there were several lights in the room that had no on/off switch. We searched in vain for a way to turn them on, but to no avail. Fortunately, there were a few lamps in the room that we could turn on. Then, on the morning of our departure, with daylight streaming into the room, I found a curious little beige box attached to the wall near the door. It was about the size of a deck of cards, but much thinner. I was able to read the very small print on it by bending over and squinting my eyes. It said that you could get "power" by putting your "card key" in its slot, which I did. And lo and behold, several lights in the room came on. How strange. How absolutely bizarre. Has the Hyatt corporation ever heard of light switches? I can only guess that the management does not want people without "card keys" turning on the lights in your room. But then, why would people without "card keys" be in my room??? But since we were checking out at that point, this newly acquired technical knowledge was of no use to us, and we used the room for an overnight stay without the use of half the lighting in the room."

Crowne Plaza Houston Med Ctr-Galleria Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The room was clean and well maintained, and the amenities were great. Breakfast was a nice bonus if it was included with your stay. The shower was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which was convenient. I was also able to check in four hours early, which was a huge plus. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was outstanding, easily some of the best I’ve experienced at a hotel."

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Houston - Greenway Plaza
8/10 Good
"Staff was amazing. I accidentally booked another Doubletree hotel for the same weekend. Hotel staff helped me contact the other hotel to get it corrected without additional fees. Second staying at this property within a year and enjoy. Can be a bit pricey if events are happening in the city, but would otherwise stay again."

Blossom Hotel Houston, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice property, upscale and clean with a pool and a bar. The rooms are pretty and spacious and the rooftop pool is very nice. The bar is great too and the bartender Jordan was so welcoming and made awesome drinks! I would def stay there again, I just wish the restaurant opened later because apart from ordering on Uber Eats there isn’t any food around this location."
