「The Bush Retreat is in an ideal location to explore the Gold Coat, Surfers Paradise, Tambourine Mountain with biking tracks in the Hinze Dam area. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped for 4 people with ample parking. Beds are comfortable. Water pressure is good with ample hot water. It’s an ideal place to kick back and relax with a bottle of wine in a lovely tropical garden setting with a lot of bird life. We had a lovely time here and the place has huge potential. Recommend.」

「Staff communications mix up placed us in an upgraded room and an hour later we were told we had to shift rooms the next morning. Staff helped with the move.Room lacked table and chairs making do with 2 lounge chairs and a tea trolley. toilet ran out of flushing water on several occasions during the night. Bed OK but doona much too heavy. Lovely setting, too bad bar and restaurant only open at weekends. We would not return.」
