BUT...if you are looking for a nice enough, clean enough, cozy enough, functional enough cabin with a big front yard, and a LOCATION on the shenandoah river that affords awesome fishing, gorgeous scenery, and short drives to either Luray or Elkton where you can get anything you need, then keep reading. The cabin property includes a little landing/bank area right across the rural road (15 second walk from end of the driveway). Its set up……

“My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Green River Home. Great cozy getaway cabin, driving distance or brief hike away from the river. Very quiet and tucked into a forested ridge with a nice small campfire spot. Everything was as listed and there was a detailed booklet telling everything about the cabin and local area. ”

“Practically perfect. The accessibility was perfect. Possibly one of the best stocked kitchen for my chef husband. Location to Luray perfect. Porch & swing great. Communication from host instant. The corn hole perfect for kids. To make it 7 star, dark towels for hot tub, maybe some mini shower wash & shampoo bits, compared to the well stocked kitchen. Consider an electric roof cover for hot tub on those hotter days. But this did not distract from a great stay. ”

“Everything was pretty much exactly what we expected. No major issues with the cabin, nice views, quiet location & dog friendly (huge plus!)It was the perfect size, they had plenty of dishes in the kitchen & some seasonings to use. A few pans looked like they weren’t cleaned all the way but we just rewashed them before use, no big deal. Huge dvd selection was awesome! Water pressure in the shower was nice & bed was comfortable. The only thing that could have used some improvement was the lighting……
