“We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Maple Hill is a piece of living history and it was a privilege to stay there. The owners are excellent stewards of this absolute gem. “We had reserved and paid for a 2 bed room but were given a single bed with a roll away. We were not given any advanced notice of the change and were not able to cancel and look for other accommodations. “got two rooms. Checkin was fine. Room 1 was dirty including animal hair on bedspread AND on sheets all over. Bathroom floor was filthy. Room 2 - TV remote had to be reprogrammed, and then when TV was on, all lights in the room flickered, including bathroom lights. When TV was off, lights stopped flickering. Overall was a horrible experience except staff was nice. Left the hotel immediately, and still having trouble getting management to refund our room fees, even though we we only there for 30……
