Fantastic historic house in downtown Springfield, VT. A wonderful place to spend an evening or the weekend. Close to state parks, great restaurants, and kayaking. Wonderful place for a getaway.

The historic property was beautifully landscaped and maintained from the front lawn and parking to the features in the back yard, including short shaded woodland trails. The interior of the historic home was lovely, clean, and welcoming with ample seating and window views, tea, coffee, etc., and snacks. The most comforting aspect of our stay was the hostess, sharing the history of the property and former owners, and offering a tour. The hostess and staff were sincere, kind and so helpful! I intend to stay at this place again!

What a beautiful place! A quick move back in time to some really lovely spaces. The coffee and pastries were excellent and so appreciated, and the room and bed were delightful We really enjoyed our weekend away.

Quaint stay in Springfield, VT in a 1904 built mansion which is a National Historic Landmark. Wonderful room in the attached hotel adjacent to the mansion. The rooms were beautiful and the mansion itself had a coffee & drink station in a beautiful reading room complete with grand piano, 1920s-era music, and a library. The property is quiet but close to the downtown. It's a 12 minute walk to the downtown area. The Copper Fox is a must try restaurant. The atmosphere and experience can't be beat. My wife and I will be returning in the future.

The house was beautiful and very nice. It was a self check in and I did speak to one person as I was checking in who was also very nice. We stayed in the hotel part and the beds were very small. Plus side it was a quiet area and we were not disturbed. Air conditioning work great. Downside, we never saw another staff member accept when we checked in. No one was around anywhere. There was a dining room but it was closed. When we checked out it was a self checkout and I had no one to give my key to so I left it on the counter. Just a very strange experience

What a gem! This property was amazing, we stayed in two rooms both well equipped and perfectly styled. It felt like a boutique hotel. My teenagers all stayed in a room together with a trundle bed and two queens. The dresser had fun board games and cards and lots of books in the built in. My husband and I were across the hall in a smaller room that looked like it came out of a magazine. We were in the back portion, but had full access to the mansion - complete with music, water, coffee and pastries. It was stunning and had plenty of space for us to play cards together. My kids got a kick out of the fact that the house was the home of Helen Hartness Flanders - as Springfield was recognized as the official home of the Simpsons. The town looked cute, and we searched for places to eat and there were some good options. We ended up in the next town over at Outer Limits Brewery since we are always up for finding new beers.

The mansion is beautiful and the room (hotel side) was clean, but the property was not maintained. My reservation was for Friday thru Monday which you would think being a weekend there would be guests staying. I believe I was one of three. It felt deserted/abandoned. I saw one staff member my whole stay. There were no amenities, not even an ice machine. I checked out a day early because I was just not comfortable. It felt like a scene from a horror movie. Very disappointing. So much potential.
