The Sheraton Monarch was lovely, clean, perfect location and convenient parking. The beds were super comfortable, and it was nice the bar as open late, rather than trying to navigate Springfield late at night. The nachos were actually delicious!

The hotel was clean, the rooms were comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We didn’t make it to the pool. The buffet was actually great but the pub was disappointing. They had a set menu with very limited options. It would be nice to have more options than just sandwiches.

The lobby area was nice and then the common areas were pretty nice and well kept. However, the pool was pretty rough stairs were very flimsy getting into the pool. The sauna was not working and had a mop bucket and broom inside of it. It honestly looked like a motel inside. The room was fine, however, the molding on the shower bathroom on the rest of the room was coming off. It was clean however it looked like it hasn’t been taken care of in a long time. It looks like there’s no person fixing basic maintenance things. The bed was comfortable however it was extremely loud with music blaring on the street outside. I would not recommend having kids there both for the cleanliness and they will wake up in the middle of the night. The location, however, was great five minute walk from the casino a mile and a half from the Big E. The whole place had a musty odor to it the best way I can describe it is just not taking care of. For the price it was very disappointing. I would not recommend anyone to this. Maybe if you were in college and it was 100 that the kind of hotel this is.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The problem was with the room. The thermostat was not working properly so it was reaching 71° in the room even though it was set well below that. In addition, the sink was clogged. In short, a decent hotel which needs some upgrades.
