“Great house with lots of space, and Chris was amazing with communications throughout our visit. Home was even better than the photos!”

“Enjoyed the observatory.”

“Home away from home”

“Beautiful cabin that is tastefully decorated. Very comfortable, beautiful scenery, clean, and the bed was amazing. I would give a 5 star rating, but there was no shower, just a beautiful stand alone tub. I wish I would of paid more attention when booking; a shower is a must for us. The water for the tub, was luke warm at best, but we were able to put hot water in a pan from the kitchen to take a hot bath. Loved the area and trips to Burnsville. The Pig and Grits Restaurant was great food, we……

“Beautiful property! We enjoyed the "swimming hole" in the heat and the kitchen was fully stocked. I would recommend an SUV or all wheel drive vehicle to be able to get in and out of the steep drive, but we loved the secluded feel of the property.”

“Absolutely charming and very well equipped small home. A lot of small amenities to make it welcoming. Didn't realize it had steps, that was our fault for not checking. We found the registration process to be confusing trying to do it through Expedia as it was a vbro. The owner went out of her way to be helpful.”

“extremely peaceful location and super cozy along with amazing kitchen appliances updated bathroom. I felt like I was at a high-end hotel.”

“We loved the peaceful sound of the creek. Such a relaxing spot. Close to town but without traffic. We even got to watch a fawn running around and playing in the creek. We look forward to returning soon.”

“I have rented many places and I’m ranking this as one of the best rentals I have ever rented.1. Communication: Ben was extremely responsive and friendly.2. Location: The town of Old Fort has gone through a lot in the past few years, but that has not diminished its charm and resilience. The house sits on a beautiful creek and has a great view of the sunrise which we enjoyed from the screened in porch. The house is walking distance from downtown. The downtown has several breweries with great……

“Very charming cabin at the end of a quiet street. We saw lots of deer and turkey while sitting on the porch. The cool mountain air was so enjoyable this time of year. All the windows had screens so we could keep them open. Close to downtown Banner Elk restaurants and everything we came to do on Sugar Mountain. Would recommend. Perfect for kids, ours really liked the game machine.”

“The location is super convenient for anyone visiting banner elk or the surrounding area!”

“By far the easiest check-in process we've had in our travels so far. The house was super clean and packed to the brim with all of the essentials you could need. The house is located very conveniently to town and the property provides ample room for walking your pets. We are planning on coming back for another stay soon since our weekend weather was on the soggy side.”
