The Barrington Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We missed our connecting flight and needed to find accommodation for 1 night. The Barrington was very full but we managed to get a room with a very comfortable king size bed. Our breakfast was delicious with several great options to choose from. The citadel and harbour front were only several blocks away giving us the opportunity for a walk along the beautiful pier before leaving for the airport the following day. Only drawback was the hotel being at least 1/2hr drive from the airport."

"This hotel had a great location for spending time in Halifax. We easily walked to the waterfront each day. Visit the rooftop to get a great view of the Citadel and the city. The breakfast was only ok."

"Very close to airport. I did my research before hand as how to get there and it went very well. As we were heading for Sydney the next morning, it was perfect for us. Very good breakfast in the morning and the restaurant was still open for ordering supper after our check in"

"Great stay at the Holiday Inn Express, especially given the circumstances. My flight got cancelled at the last minute, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, checking me in quickly despite the short notice. The room was spotless with clean linens and a tidy bathroom, no complaints. It turned a stressful travel situation into a smooth, easy experience. Would definitely book here again."

"Property is styled in a new/modern look which was nice but they forgot to add any kind of a dresser/chest of drawers. There wasn’t even a luggage rack so we had to bend over and pull clothes out of suitcases on the floor. Also couldn’t figure out how to adjust the A/C up or down off the 21 degrees it was set at when we arrived. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean and well appointed."

"We spent one night here at this beautiful location. We enjoyed the hot tub and lovely lake front property. The room was quiet (although this could be different if the additional guests were noisier; we did hear conversations in the morning). The room and common areas were very clean. The communal kitchen and living room were well appointed. Self serve breakfast with numerous choices. Bed and bed linens were very comfy. Close to Martinique Beach at the end of the peninsula where we saw a beautiful sunset. This is a self check-in location and we appreciated that convenience. Staff was available if needed but everything was clearly outlined in our handbook and messages prior to check-in. We would stay here again if we were in the area."
