Hotel room

Services and people are good and willing to help. Yet, room is a bit smaller under of my expectation. It seems like a suite from the booking which is not in fact. However, no regret to stay there.

The room had a very strong, unpleasant odor—similar to fish or something decaying—which made the stay uncomfortable from the start. Cleanliness was also an issue. The room did not appear to be properly cleaned: there were visible stains on the shower curtain, and noticeable hand and arm prints on the headboard and other surfaces from previous guests. As a former housekeeper, this did not meet basic cleanliness standards. The bathroom lighting was limited to the mirror area, which made visibility poor. The carpet felt like it needed a thorough vacuuming and deep cleaning. The provided soaps also felt very cheap and were extremely drying. We even tried using room spray to mask the smell, but it did not help. Given the condition of the room n hotel overall, the pricing does not feel appropriate and should be lower to reflect the overall experience.

We stayed for 5 days and I had to asked for new towels each time I wanted them. They never came in to clean or make the beds. Never emptied the garbage cans. The room was clean when we got there but I don’t know if I would go back. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was boring. We didn’t eat anything.

My room did not have a hair dryer. I went to the front desk and no one was there. I called the front desk from my cell phone (room phone didnt work) and no one answered. I went to plan B for my hair which was not ideal. The shower was at best lukewarm. I tried to wait to see if it would warm up over time but that didnt work; only got colder.walls are also thin! Bed was very comfortable and zi am not that picky!

Reserved a 2 queen, they gave us a king and pull out. Would not switch or give us a refund. The pull out was peer springs, no mattress.

My room was not fit to be used. Terrible patch work on the wall as well as a rotten subfloor right next to the window that they tried to cover up which was also right by the heating unit. What made it more disturbing is that I was on the 3rd floor of this hotel. 100% will never even consider staying at this hotel.

Got to hotel America Inn checked in the room was paid for on Expedia. The desk clerk was very nice. Needed my credit card to hold a 150 dollars that would be refunded once my stay was over. My stay was 3 days we turned in keys left a day early. Might have stayed all three days if things were cleaned. As I headed to my room. I noticed pee on the floor which I had to walk around it. Got in elevator there was graffiti on walls of elevator stains on floor in elevator. I was not going to let any of my bags touch the floors. Hall floor all the way to my room dirty. When entering my room the room smelled of smoke. I had to go out and buy air freshener for room. My shower was dirty. Corner of bathroom dirty. Rugs in living area dirty. I felt uncomfortable even getting in bed to get sleep. I did because , I was extremely tired being in town. My daughter was in hospital with being induced early due to complications. So on top of stress there was added stress. I feel should not be a case when spending money to stay over a few day period. At one point leaving the hotel. I was extremely disturbed there was either a dog turd or a piece of sausage sitting on the steel edge in the elevator. I looked away from it as I was on 2nd it was so incredibly disgusting. Furniture was stained. I feel you should never have to experience a stay as this. I feel we should be refunded our money back.

The shower head leaked more water out of the side of it than sprayed. The pool and hottub where cold and the water was yellow. Graffiti in the elevator. They did not bring out anymore eggs or bacon when it was low for breakfast.

The staff was friendly. The room was clean. Although it did have a water stain on the ceiling of the main room and the bathroom did not really appreciate that, but it was clean. The pool did not work. It was very very cold. The hot tub did not work. It was very very hot and then when we reported it, they did something and it was very, very cold. The workout center nothing worked. The treadmills did not work the elliptical did not work. The only choices we had was very limited. I feel there could've been much more and it could've been much better.

The pool is ice cold, broken plastic at the bottom, hot tub is bath tub warm, hallways are cold our room is not warming up, our in room refrigerator is covered in mold, the elevator has graffiti and smells of pot. Not what we expected. Not excited and very let down. If they would immediately refund me I’d be looking for other accommodation immediately.. would not recommend this place
